Motoverte announced today that this year MX3 World Champion Pierre-Alexandre Renet was moving to the enduro serie next year since he can't find a decent MX1 or MX2 team. You really got to wonder what's the point in having this championship these days. It use to be on to please KTM and other Euro brands when they were trying to sell big 500-650cc bikes but these days everyone is running 450F and the championship is just a Euro B championship. Now thats ok if the idea is for the top rider to get noticed and have a chance of getting a ride in MX1 the next year but for a guy like Renet who had good results in MX1 and MX2 in the past before getting injured and has won the MXDN with DV and Seguy to have to change sports is a bit sad.
MX3 should just be ditched and have 85cc or 125 2stroke run alongside the EMX2 championship.

Enduro riders must be pissed off as they see MX riders take their spots. If you look at this year ISDE team mainly MX guys Meo, Thain and Nambotin...
I like th e2 stroke idea. It will never happen, but I like it.
