Why is Kailub Russell not dominating this year (even though he has a large points lead) and is Ricky Russell any relation of his? I just check results so really don't know what's been going on.

Wrong section, try the off road section.

Kaliub has always struggled in the mud and thwart couple have been muddy. Thad has also stepped it up this year, he's always been extremely fast but hasn't been able to put a whole series together since bumping to XC1. Thad has always had really bad luck and has had some this year too at either round 1 or 2. If he hadn't missed the round he would probably be in the points lead right now.

And I don't think Ricky and Kaliub Russell are related. If they are they definitely aren't brothers.

Also, watch out for Josh Toth. He's dominating the XC2 pro class and took 2nd overall this weekend. He's going the be the next big thing when he moves up to XC1.

Wonder if Kailub has a small injury he's keeping quiet? Doesn't seem to be his normal form right now.

This is more moto related than complaining about flaggers every 3 post. Just saying

All good to me, I like dirt bikes, but thought the off road section might get more responses.

Off-road forum section is completely dead. Better over here.

I wondered why K. Russell was not dominating. It may boil down to burnout? he has kicked so much ass year after year, It seems that in that situation at some point your drive to put in the work for the reward (which you have already had multiple times) may begin to taper off... just a theory. K. russell and Ricky Russell are not related. Ricky is from northwest I think? WA?

Haha, I just got back and read this and thought the same thing!

It's good for the series to have some new winners cause Russell has been killing it for quite some time. In a weird way though, sometimes when there is a dominant rider, I kinda like to see him keep dominating.
