Looks in good shape to me...
“Pretty s**t. All I know is that every time we went on the track we got better,” he assessed from the confines of the permanent pit garage complex afterwards. “From yesterday until now we got better all the time. We definitely have some things to work on with the bike, set-up-wise and getting the thing to work a bit better in these conditions. It is not a U.S.-spec set-up but it is really close. We’re gonna work on that.”
“If we can keep doing improvements on the track, preferably quickly, and steps in the right direction fairly soon then we will be OK,” he added. “By no means did we do good…but we salvaged some points.”
Ryan certainly is not oblivious to the ripple his MXGP transfer has caused. It reaches into the motocross community but also in motorcycle sport generally and—whether he really cares or not—he knew that this first outing would invite opinion. “I’m sure things are going crazy right now with the ‘look at this-look at that’,” he commented. “I know that is happening but bottom line is that I had the balls to come over here to race. It is not going to be easy and never once have I said it would be easy. We’ll keep working and moving forward.”

The Shop
Just let the season play out..
#GoAC222!!!!!!
RV does this because it's what he's good at and he's a competitive person, not because it brings him uncontrollable joy and happiness just to be on the starting gate.
He had enough time to prepare, he chose not to race before Quatar
People like you were making fun about some Euros that found it weird seeing RV train in Milestone and generally on tracks he has ridden his whole life on - "he knows what he's doing" lol
I was really pissed because I expected some good racing between him and others.
Hope he gets his problems sorted out before it comes to the Europe races. I wanna see the old RV when I'm at the races watching
Why is it to be expected? This maybe Ryan's first GP, but not the teams or Kawis. They should of least been in the ballpark.
Here's a good podcast all about "setup"

Pit Row
I still think he'll get it done.
Either way. I agree he will get it together.
As a side note, it seemed like RV wasn't the only fast guy out there that struggled with bike set up.
You know who you are.
Of course I want him to win as an American but I'm not foolish enough to discount the speed of the Euro's and how hard it is to win a World Championship traveling to all the different countries, borders, food, languages excetera.
It took Brad Lackey 10 long years to achieve his dream of being World Champion and I followed every race through Cycle News. Never once have I shown the disrespect that obnoxious clueless American fans have on here.
