Came home from work to find this on Lane's Facebook page... Thought I would pass it on to you Vital members since most are not friends with him.

I would like to thank all of my sponsors that helped me in 2013. I think last year went well for me, as I was able to fulfil some of my goals I set for myself, and I hope I represented your company well for you in doing so. I always try to be a great competitor on the track and a nice guy off the track.

Here are a few of my accomplishments from 2013, starting with the highlights. I was able to qualify for my first an AMA Amateur National, finishing 33rd place overall at Mini O’s in the 450C class on my Yz125. In my Consi race, I finished 4th and even made it on TV!

I also battled with some great riders over the last eight months in several series championship races at ScrubNdirt and came away as the 2013 open Schoolboy class CHAMPION!! I also finish a close 2nd place in points in the 125 AM class, with only a few points separating me and the overall winner. It really came down to the last race of the season!
I was able to finish top 8 at the 2013 Vurb Classic in one of my classes even after a gnarly crash that left me not feeling myself. At the 2013 Suzuki BIG Series race held at Aonia Pass, I finish 2nd place in the 125 AM class and top 8 in Schoolboy 1. I also finished top 9 in the 2013 Loretta Lynn Area Qualifier in Schoolboy 1 class, shortly after moving up to the 125cc bike from mini’s.

All in all, I feel I had a great season and look forward to an even better 2014 year! So, thank you for all who helped support me over the year, money has been extremely tight for my family and they have had to sacrifice a lot to keep me going. I hope for continued support for many more years to come and hope you enjoyed having me as one of your sponsored riders!
Thanks to: Mom and Dad, Southeastmx.com, Joe Moto Racing.com, JM Suspensions East, FMF, Link Mx, Risk Racing, UFO, X-Brand Goggles, Renthal, Motion Pro, TLR Performance Engines, O’Neal, Atlas Neck Brace, Auston Albers, Earth Pro Surveying, Greg Caudell, Robby Renner and family, Vital Mx members, ScrubNdirt and anyone else I hope I have not forgotten!!

Awesome! Glad to see a respectful well mannered kid these days, even knows how to spell and correctly form sentences and paragraphs. You just don't see that very often any more, it's like kids these days think everyone "owes" them something. Congratulations on his success and know there will be plenty more as long as he keeps that attitude!

That was impressive; not just for the young man's accomplishments on the racetrack, but how he presented himself on social media. Grateful, well spoken and polite (as many have mentioned on here). A rare breed these days (It seems like) and his parents should be proud...

Smart kid- saying "thanks" is all that some of us need to hear.

It's ironic that the biggest logo in that photo--Volcom--isn't listed as one of his sponsors!

That's awesome, you should be really proud considering how hard it is to raise a child. Best of luck to him in '14 and tell him keep it up! And he did it on his own I'm assuming so that just shows his true character! Great post! Smile

Why trash an awesome thread with that type of thing?

Yeah he did it on his own pretty much... We don't go to any training camps. Back in the summer, he has had a one day camp with Matt Walker. Autson Albers (#212) has spoken with him about a few things and helped him with his eating. He has dropped 20lbs with Auston's help this year.

Thanks for all the well wishes y'all, we are hoping to do the Spring National at Mill Creek at the end of February. Hope for some better results at this one with half of the kids he raced against at Mini O's moving up to B class. Then we will get ready for a LLQ and the Regional and with any luck, make it to Loretta's this year. These are his goals for 14, so far, the weather is not helping us out!

Class of '14 isn't looking much better than the class of '13. Of course, the class of '14 probably is just the second coming of the class of '13 with new user names. I still say these re-treads should have to list their former user names in their sigs so people can just ignore the known trolls.

Count the days...his are numbered. His screen-name, alone, has "click" potential.
