Many of you know about James Marshall. For those that don't, he is a 30 year old bright young man, fighting for his life every day. He was a promising professional motocross racer that suffered a career ending injury in '06 that left him a quadriplegic.

He has bounced around with different care since his family has mostly abandoned him. The Biegalski family has taken James in recently despite their challenges. Gina Biegalski was diagnosed with breast cancer within the last year and is currently undergoing an aggressive fight to kill the cancer while undergoing treatment. On top of that, their 12 year old son took a life flight ride from the State Final at Freestone a couple of weeks ago. He ended up with a badly broken are and lost a lot of blood.

We are trying to raise money to help the Biegalski's improve James living conditions so they can care for him better. We will be taking donations for James at the upcoming Bel-Ray Pro Motocross Challenge race event at 3 Palms Action Sports Park December 7. To start things off we will auction a signed Ryan Dungey jersey from the 2014 SX season. To learn more about James or to make a donation to James directly, click on the link below.

Texas is a bit far for me. I will donate some money before Christmas.

I've followed him on Facebook for a long time. He's a warrior, both on and off the track, and a good dude.

Just sent $10. I have donated to his cause before as well. I always donate to downed rider funds. Usually$50 or under as I am not rich. It just takes a little people. Spend what you spend on beer in a week to help James.....he's a great dude who loves to help him self. Dave

I just wanted to take a moment to recognize ALL the support that has been contributed beginning in February 2006 w the Road to Recovery foundation & through every crazy thing that has happened up to now, this having this level of support is beyond motivating, strengthening, inspiring & simply encouraging to still live out my dreams. And that I willl do.

My book is almost finished and I hope if puts off strength to those who are feeling weak, encouragement to those feeling low on self esteem & empowering to you that might be struggling at any point in your life. I feel I've been through A LOT and somehow, someway, I've been able to crawl my way out. I pray the message is passed forward.

Again, thank you for the very generous donations received! Especially during the holiday season!! God bless each and everyone of you along w your loved ones & I pray the holidays this season fulfill your wishes (as you have helped me in mine!!) and brings lot of smile w happiness! God bless,

James Marshall

In a sad ironic twist, wasn't it Ernie that landed on James (James missed a shift, I think) ? Then a couple weeks later, Ernie went down. Sad

Sending some extra help for the family and such,..I think all of us that call this your sport, should always be generous and supportive of the MX community...from pro-rider down to 4 year old amatuer.

If your catching this thread James,.. if im not mistaken it was a San Diego race? I believe I was at that race, I think you were in a qualifying race?? Anyhow it seems as if Jesus has seen you through all the challenges,..God Bless you as well. Honored to help in any way I can.

That is correct. James was in qualifying position in a 450 heat race ahead of Fonseca at the 06 San Diego SX. The weekend prior to that James won the Asterick Gas card for missing the last transfer spot to the Main. He out there pretty much by himself and getting better each weekend.

The only question that needs answering here is if you are willing to help a young man who needs and deserves a hand.

I saw enough of guy's that I trust their judgement stepping up , I don't need anything else.

Stay strong James, I hope anyone with the means to help support a great young man like you will send some funds your way. I wish I could send you a few grand, but I can't. I hope my small donation will help and urge others to give something.

This is the level of support we ALL need in which I sit up straight & tall for!! God bless you all and the donations are keeping food on my table.

I will continue to give 200% everyday because this is EXACTLY what inspires me to be inspiring to others within as well as outside our community. I have a meeting next week for my first public speech. This is God's story…, I'm just here to speak it. Thankfully!

Each and everyone of you inspire me so thank you ladies & gentlemen! A HUGE Thank you to Larry Hughes & his family!! What a class act! Love you goes out to the Hughes Family
