That was one of the most impressive rides I've ever seen. People bash RD for not being mentally tough, but that performance is the definition of mental toughness! RD was clearly upset and frustrated, then here comes the bike, he gets on and turns that kind of performance. That my friends is FOCUS and getting in that race frame of mind in an instant! I get more and more impressed with RD as time goes by. I've been a Poto fan since his rookie season, but I wouldn't be disappointed if either RD or RV won the title this year. They are both deserving!!

You know that mild mannered Dungey was probably throwing a few f bombs somewhere in there. Impressive ride.

We were standing at the top of the hill by the start turn when Dungey came tear assing up the start straight, sideways and roosting like hell.
Impressive run in that crappy rain to end up 7th, the kid has some heart.

Think of his Mom's emotional roller coaster while watching that video. As a mom, you can be sure she was trying to be consoling, trying to help him sort through the pain of pretty much losing the championship. Then the bike shows up, and won't start! So now she has to be as frustrated as Ryan, then it starts and she's then yelling "GO!!!!!"
I am impressed with Ryan, but that video is as also about her as much as it is him.

That was really cool. You see how Mom just turned it around, and got back to motivating her son. What can I say? I'm a Dungey fan now.

Great stuff!
If Goose didn't stall it, RD might have gotten 6th place!
Talk about a roller coaster ride of emotions--he looked mighty pissed as they were walking. At least he had a whole moto to work it out....

Thought Goose said it started right back up after the stall...Just think if he would've had his googles on, ready to go and didn't stall the bike, he could've caught up to RV! That would've been a Chuck Norris moment

Amazing! If only we knew what Dungey was saying to his mom.
That was badass shit, dungey made a small fan out of me as well. I'm just throwing this out there, why didn't dungey have goggles? He lost over 30 seconds (1 maybe 2 spots) because he had to get his goggles and then stalled it. If he would of had goggles he would of just hopped on and been on his way.

That is fucking awesome. One of the coolest videos I have ever seen. Dungey hauled out of there. He panicked when Goose brought him the bike, choked a bit almost.

Dungey's status in this sport just changed from "champion" to "legend". People will tell the story of Dungey's performance at Southwick to their children and grandchildren for generations. Truely one of the great moments in MX history.
