Watching some Josh Hill vids on the Alta and got me thinking, has anyone back flipped one of these? I’m just wondering how the lack of internal inertia from a combustion engine would/wouldn't effect rotation?

There was a video on Instagram of someone on backflipping one the other day. Can't remember who but the caption said they nailed it first try.

Please don't mention Josh Hill and back flipping in the same sentence.

I was actually talking to Jimmy Hill about this a few days ago. He said flipping felt normal during the rotation but the entry speed was weird because the bike doesn't have an idle. He had to slightly crack the throttle to mimic an idle then crank it off the lip.

He also said they found out someone backflipped maybe 7-10 years ago, it might have been on an original KTM electric bike? Not 100% sure on those details tho.

Andy DiBrino was the first to try a backflip on an Alta just after landing his first backflip ever about 5mins prior on a XR100 lol
