First ride on the 350 (vid)

9/24/2012 5:30 AM

Tried out the KTM this weekend, nice bike, but it will take me some time to get used to it (coming from a 450)

Made a small video, watch if u like.

Nice track.... I've been told you have to ride the 350 more like a 250 2 stroke... What are your thoughts on that?

Never try to argue with idiots; they will only bring you down to their level.....and being more experienced, they will beat you at their own game!

Man, it looks and sounds like fun, reminds me of my XR days. The track looks pretty fun to ride, I like all the table tops.

Wait a minute! That's Norway?

Where are the fiords? the endless, deep blue, ice cold lakes? The wooden shoes (wait, that's Holland. Damn this U.S. education system!)

I actually see dust! There's no dust in Norway! Just rich deep, dark loam soil, right?

Who's with me?

(Bike looks awesome. Nice riding, too)

Its early days, but I feel I have to ride it pretty hard to get it to work, I think it is a really fun bike to ride.
Sometimes I do miss the BRAP of the 450 on the jumps .

ha, u know all the mx tracks in NO are always located near a landfill, the picturesque tracks are few and far between.

This vid was shot a week ago, in one month we put on spiked tires, thanks for the riding comment, made me feel goood

Does it feel like a mod 250F or a 250 two stroke? I don't want to put any hours on the race bikes I have built and was thinking about getting one to practice on.

Like a mod 250f!

Probably not relevant, but I rode a 350 excf and 250exc back to back on the weekend. The 250 had a lot more bang, but the 350 was so ridiculously smooth. There's probably not much difference in peak hp, but the 350 definitely built its power more like a 250f than a 450.

I have a full P.C. Kx250F I built and have been on the fence about building a slightly modded 2013 KX 250F or a KTM 350. I have a 2013 KX 450 but I need something that is more like my race bike. I like practicing on a 450 but if I ride it to much I get lazy and I have a 250 two stroke but for some reason I have to go out and jump all the big jumps on a four stroke then I will do them on the two stroke. If I only ride a two stroke I lose confidence and get way slower. I have always liked 250F' s because they are smaller and I am 5"7. I wish the 350 came with the smaller wheels and was about 15 pounds lighter.

I wonder if you could put a 450 motor in that thing?
