The top of the shrouds looks awful. And the routing of the clutch line looks weird. The rest, beautiful bike.

They are about to have an increased presence in the U.S. They're moving their top German dealer to CA to run Motoman West. I talked to him for awhile and he said two-strokes are their priority. He just arrived this weekend.

The spring is all wrong, destroys the lines of the bike but the new color-ways are an improvement.

This is the 2014 300 SMX we campaigned this year, 8 championship rounds , nothing broke , only thing that fell off was me and a seat bracket...
Plenty of mods to the motor to get it to run with the 450's , but nothing stupid , looking for a bit more for next year.
Build quality is spot on , so much more detail than a Japanese bike

What mods did that engine respond well to? There's not a lot of aftermarket support and common knowledge about these bikes, so tuning can be a lot of trial and error.

'The top of the shrouds' are where they put an extra air intake routed to the airbox. Supposed to help airflow. a la Honda 1980's works bikes.

congratulations on the new bikes! They look great and should run great too. The Sherco's with the electronic power valve are really responsive to the switch to change power output.

I've got a new Italian girl to go meet in Houston tommorow; 2015 Beta 500 RS!

one of my fondest moments at Mosier Valley MX in TX (RIP) was getting passed by some guy on a XR250 with lights on during night practice .....I won't mention what bike I was riding..

Congrats on your TM's works of art...

VHM head with a one off insert , different piston, one off flywheel weight , and motor work by Willem Ten Horst in Holland, to our requirements .. we havent had any test time other than running it in 2 days before the first race, due to the logistics of me being in the UK, and the bike being in Germany , latest mods are a special top clamp to allow fitment of Factory Marzocchi forks, and the Factory Brembo that go with it ... stock stuff was ok , but this is better, and dialled in for me.. Carbon Matrix wheels , which are Husqvarna fitment , to go with the forks, and mean we can lose the overkill TM sprocket fitment and use the stuff my sponsor already had ready to go .

Iteration 2 will be just more everywhere , it can run with the 450's on the short tracks , and kills the dirt sections, but the faster tracks just needs a bit more... considering it cost less to do than sticking an Akropovic on a KTM , its a cheap way to go racing , which was the whole idea.

This pic was after the first race weekend, bone stock , went 5-6 , having ridden it for an hour after not racing a 2T SM ever , loads of fun and just sweet to ride.

Damn I want one of these. I now have a new goal for 2015. I'm saving for a TM. May have to send a resume to moto west since I am thinking about moving west anyways. Hot damn!

Always loved the look of these on the net, but seen one up close for the first time a couple of weeks ago and just couldn't help but notice they look like modern shrouds on an older style bike, couldn't put my finger on it but something looked off.

If they built/ sold one with a build 350-450cc 2 stroke engine, I'd be a buyer.

Now we have picked up our new bikes.

We left with 2 TM 300 EN 2015 and one TM 125 EN 2014

New rear hub and spacers back tire. New Plastic on the whole bike, There was an edge
between the number plates and the airbox that caught your pants. Thats gone now.

All new smooth casting. Previous casting was rough looking.

New seat and tank. Lots of new trick stuff.

We ordered ours with 19 inch rear because we ride mostly MX

Could you put up some pictures of the air route into the airbox - the seat off, please?

I like that they've brought in a ty in between the 4Ts that now have the fuel tank in the usual airbox position, , and the 2ts, but with the conventional positioning on the 2Ts..

The write ups I've seen indicate that the louvers and channeling on the 2t tanks Is a real, functional thing, not just a cosmetic one. It should be great for very dusty environments, and wet weather, if it's done well.

A mate of mine has had several TMs, and I do his suspension and any / many mods ( enduro / offroad related) to them. He sold his '13 300 this year in prep for his 2nd child, but I hope he gets another TM when things settle down.

As a frame maker, I can look at the construction / welds on the aluminium framed TMs, for hours. Diecast cases? - should be a good weight loss / construction consistency thing, though, the 'cobbyness' of the castings previously, made me feel young again.........

A while ago, on this site, I think, a post put up a video of a factory visit. In it, it showed a Moto 3 engine / bike project - pity the little kid was getting in the way - with a reversed head / barrel engine (something very common to TM Kart engines) - then it showed a conventional dirt engine on the same test dyno. Moto 3 might be an extra sales thing for TM - no, not just for the Moto3 GP series, but for Moto 3 Racing as it grows worldwide.

Pretty bike! I am a fan of having something different like this, and they look fantastic. The gas tank would drive me bonkers though.

The new cases look nice. My 2014 144 came with the new casting style cases while my 250 has the old sand-cast rough ones. It is supposed to save weight, how much I'm not sure.

What tires did it come with, it looks like Pirelli MXMS? My 2014 144 came with Mitas tires and the 250 came with Dunlop MX71 rear and MX51 front. How random is that?

I don't care for the looks of the air scoops on the top of the tank, and the bottom of the shrouds, but otherwise stunning looking bike. They blend in a lot better with the black tank.. I ordered mine with the clear tanks and really like it though. I've never had it before and now I wouldn't want to go back to a black tank.

Vitards,
Let's see more TM pics and hear about the new models people are enjoying.

America wants all this gas economy shit but over there they can ride dual sport 2 strokes all day long.

Id buy a street legal 2 stroke, right now. The only other way is a bastard registration in oddball states that dont give a shit.

Fuckin greenies.

TMs are bad ass.

anyone know about ergo's? Can't find anything at all on these things. Trying to get an idea if I am interested in one of these things. Some of the European stuff is small, my wr300 husky is a bit more spread out and I love it for that reason.

They're tall and roomy, easy to move around on. Not as big as your Husky 300, I had one of those, the TM feels big but not stupid big like the older Husky's.
