My uncle has a deposit on one and was finally given an out the door price of $10,664 and sometime around Thanksgiving. He about shit himself. He called around to quite a few places getting quotes and the least expensive he found one out the door was $10,658, 6 hours away and they wouldn't have them until December.

Hey Michael, did Honda say whether or not you have to remove the kickstarter if you are putting the electric start on?

I pretty much agree with that. Although I do not car for the Suzuki much. Just don't feel comfortable on them. It doesn't help that it feels small and under powered compared to my yz haha.

I'd say based on this picture that there will be different wheel spacers (the 2017 swingarm is tighter). Since the chain-guide mount is the same distance off the center line of the bike, there wont be the same issue 2012 to 2013 had with the chain location being moved. I remember people bolting the 2012-previous wheels to the 2013 and the chain coming off because of the offset - doesnt seem to be the case here. But I see a need for different wheel spacers IF the drawing is accurate.

My local Honda dealer said E start was standard so I presumed the whole of Europe was getting it to.

And the bike is exactly as expensive as the KTM 450, 9690€.

Damn dude. Someone is being taken advantage of. I received a quote last week from my dealer for the '17 CRF450R for $8200.00 out the door. That doesn't include electric start. I understand this is less than msrp. They sell me bikes for $150.00 over their cost, but even without that the bike shouldn't cost what your uncle is being quoted.

He finally got ahold of some that's giving him a "deal" at $9500 otd. That's with a hook up. At that price I'd buy a KTM but that's just me.

I'm sure location has much to do with prices. My dealer has difficulty selling dirt bikes, but they have to purchase a certain number each year to carry road bikes, 4 wheelers, etc. Hence the price I was quoted. Good customers get great deals on dirt bikes. That certainly doesn't hurt my feelings. This dealer doesn't carry KTM, but I know of a dealership nearby that will give similar deals on all KTM's except for the 1/2 year factory edition releases. There just isn't a huge market for dirt bikes in my area.
