Long time lurker, but first post. Yesterday at the season finale of a local series at Catheys Creek MX there was a drawing for a brand new klx 110 based on the amount of top fives earned during the season. This race was also a benefit race for young Colby Whiteside, who is battling Leukemia. Just read how this ends...
What a great weekend of racing at the Creek, but as exciting and nail biting as each moto was, the racing was not the highlight of the weekend. With this being the last race of the season today was the day that the "pit bike" was to be given away. Since the first race of the year who ever finished in the top 5 in their class for each race got their name entered in the drawing for the pit bike. At the end of the last race today they put in the last few names that finished in the top 5 and shook up all the entries. As everyone gathered around and the anticipation was high the name LOGAN ALLISON was drawn out of the box. Logan is a 13 year old young man with a huge heart. His family was all there and very happy that Logan had won as he took the bike for a short spin. As he came back he parked the bike back where it was before being drawn. As he got off the bike he told the track announcer " I wanna give this bike to COLBY." Colby Whiteside is a 5 year old little boy From Rutherfordton, NC who has recently been diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia who loves motocross. WOW what a blessing Logan is. I don't think there was a single person who didn't shed a tear over such a amazing unselfish act that Logan Allison did today. There is very few 13 year old boys who just won a new motorcycle be willing to give it away. What a huge heart this young man has and God will surely bless you Logan In a mighty way for what you did today for Colby. God bless you Logan Allison you will always hold a special place in my heart for what you did. We all need to take what he did today to heart and keep the love for others flowing.
