What an awesome ride that validates his world title, and in the Cali heat nonetheless.

I`m friends with his former trainer. He said Febvre knows what he want`s and is willing to put in work to achieve it. It`s very rare.

One of the best talents we've seen in this sport for a while. His meteoric rise over the past 3 seasons has been nothing short of sensational. Huge huge fan, have been for a long while

He seems like an unbelievably fast learner. Big fan.

The leap he's made this year in his speed and ability is almost bizarre, utterly under everyone's radar - it's been fantastic to see.

Humble.
Fitness is top notch.
Openly says he needs to improve to win the title next year.
Great style.
With Vg 92, tixier going to 450 next year, will be some great mxgp races in 2016.

Yes he was a pretty good and already famous rider up to the 85cc, but then went to supermoto...

He's signed for Bercy on November 14th and 15th. Will be interesting to see. For now Pourcel is inked, both Stewarts are and Webb is coming back too.

Here is the track:

I highly doubt any team in the US is interested. Being good at outdoors doesn't get you a SX contract and unfortunately that's what the people writing the checks care about. Would be cool, but I wouldn't get my hopes up.

Confidence is contagious. Febvre is full blown infected with it and the trouncings he layed to the competition after he won the titles proves he's comittited to excellence.

Haha really? You honestly think no teams over here would be interested in him? If he was interested in coming over he would have a pile of teams offering him a plane ticket.

Febvre is a total badass! Was a pleasure seeing that dude tear it up yesterday. The guys cardio training must be really good because he was one of the only ones out there that looked like he pushed all the way to the end in both motos.

I will say this though....AC222 , when fresh i think was a tick faster. Should make next year a great battle!

I'm just so pumped for the guy that he was able to show just how good he is at GH. It was not easy in those conditions, but I think he proved yesterday that he is 100% legit, and a worthy world champion

I think Cairoli was really determined to show Febvre that he's not going anywhere and that next year will be very difficult for him to win again. It seemed to me that Cairoli knew he wasn't going to last the distance so he just went out there to show he had the speed and run at the front for as long as he could. It's not often Cairoli surprises people, because I think everyone knows how good he is, but yesterday he surprised me with how fast he was able to go after missing a large amount of racing

Obviously he could get a ride here, but I don't think there would be many, if any, top teams going for him unless he proves something in SX. So far we know he can beat Grant and a 450 rookie in Webb at Glen Helen. Take Metcalfe for example. He clearly has the outdoor skill, but gets passed up year after year for a good US ride because of SX. It's possible, but unlikely, IN MY OPINION.

he's very good, impressed me yesterday while pissing me off as an american lol. but, his back end of his bike is probably more stable and has more power to the ground than anyone else. his drive up the hills were amazing...and commitment downhills too!

I had never thought about seeing him in SX but after raising that question I think he could do well, probably better than any of the next transfugees.

He is really talented, fast/aggressive, committed/serious, and a fast learner. However it is reasonable to say that moving up directly to SX450 would be a suicide. 250 East, then 450 Outdoor would already sound much more logical, which would need to be repeated at least once.

I do not doubt his speed outdoor, although Tomac, Dungey and Roczen would be on another level at least 1 or 2 seasons, but SX is very special, top guns have been training these skills for ages so are flying and the field is deeeeeeep.

Now in term of marketing, based on the coverage Simpson got this summer, I think JGR or Star Racing should make the call for some pre season SX races or summer MX races, at least that would give them a better indication at what he could do in term of results.

Great ride by a very worthy World Champion and to think he was still racing Supermoto back in 2011, just 4 years ago!
Romain came to Glen Helen the newly crowned 2015 MXGP champion, with some doubters due to high attrition rate in 18 round MXGP series, but left with the overall and his reputation sky high after an MXGP victory on an unknown track and in stifling heat!
That downhill pass on Cooper in moto 1 for the win made staying up till 1am to watch it live, all worthwhile............
