MOTORCYCLE CHALLENGE TO BENEFIT INJURED RIDERS
Scottsdale, AZ - The Road 2 Recovery Foundation has launched the Fantasy Motorcycle Challenge, an online “pick the riders” fantasy game that lets players earn points according to actual race results. Players pay a one-time fee of $29.95 to play the entire season and 100% of all net proceeds benefit the foundation’s Injured Rider’s Fund.
The game will follow six of the most popular motorcycle racing series:
• Supercross/Supercross Lites
• Motocross 250/450
• MotoGP
• World Superbike
• AMA Pro Grand National Twins
• AMA Pro Grand National Singles
Each player selects seven (7) riders for each race weekend throughout the season; players must select at least one rider per series if a series is racing. Players’ scores are the cumulative total of their submitted rider's points per week or round. Points are awarded according to finish, qualifying, bike brand and whether or not a rider led laps.
Great prizes will be awarded Weekly throughout the game period and Monthly from January through October; Six By-Series prizes will also be awarded, one each to the player who earns the most points per series during the entire season. The game features a ‘regular’ season which ends on August 1st with Three Regular Season prizes for the three players who score the most points from January through July. All players who select at least one winning rider in any race during the regular season will qualify to play in the ‘Chase Challenge’ which covers the final 14 race weekends of the season. The top 10 players in the ‘Challenge’ game which runs from the first full weekend in August through Sunday, November 7th will receive exclusive prizes like 2011 Supercross and Motocross season tickets, and autographed helmets and jerseys.
The Road 2 Recovery Foundation’s Fantasy Motorcycle Challenge will also feature an End of Season prize drawing for a trip for two to the 2011 Supercross season opener in Anaheim, California. Prize sponsors include but are not limited to Feld Motor Sports, Monster, Kicker, DVS, Ogio, Skullcandy, DC, Rockwell Time, Alpinestars, MX Sports, Leatt, Dainese, THQ, Racer X, AGV, Callaway, and Pahr.
