Lowered expectations vis-a-vis deal metrics has put many a deal back on track. If it happens---then Chad capitulated on his magic number, imo.

I don't think Yamaha was ever not part of the equation, he's still going to have a factory bike wherever he ends up. I do know that Yamaha has talked with Yamaha teams beyond JGR about putting Reed in their truck for SX. I don't know how many but I know of one.

This place was filled with this type of statement last year. How did that work out for the haters? The fact is that there are very few guys who even have a chance at a podium let alone a race win. Reed is one of them. Whether he pulls it off is another thing.
