On Saturday, August 27th, 2016 Andrew Short finished his last professional race and rode off into retirement. It’s been FLY Racing’s pleasure to have worked with such an amazing athlete and person. We honor him for his career achievements and for all that he’s done for the sport of motocross. He’s been a true ambassador, not only for the FLY Racing brand, but for the sport as a whole; a role model and inspiration for many young racers and fans alike. Thank you for the memories, Andrew. You will be missed.
~ Best wishes from your friends at FLY Racing.

Hopefully he'll be around some.
The Shop
One of the sports finest, I would think.
Good luck, Shorty
Glad to see you leave on your own terms!
Congrats man!
Sponsor's always seemed to get what they paid for with him, all around good guy.
Pit Row
Going to be odd without Shorty on the grid, he has been there quite a while now and has become part of the scenery almost. Good luck to him on whatever he chooses to do next, comes across as a good and friendly man.
JT's Andrew Short Article
I bet when a great longtime pro-racer such as Shorty retires, it must be quite difficult in some respects.
You got to miss the buzz/ adrenaline and just the fact that is what you have done for decades/ most of your life.
I guess that is why riders often do not retire sometimes, even though they say they are.
Maybe Shorty could miss it so much that he will be back for some more?!
Great way to conclude things and pity the bike failed in someway, makes you wonder if the bike would have been ok if he may have been there throughout the race, given the fearsome start he made and maybe a desire to go out with a top result.
Post a reply to: FLY Racing Thanks Andrew Short
