He looks far better than I thought he would, especially this early on in the testing phase with the new Yamaha. Everybody knows that chassis is a different animal. In fact, I predicted it wouldn't fit his riding style at all. I couldn't have been more wrong.

With that said, the CR22 haters should probably get ready to eat a few more shit sandwiches this SX season....

He looks good for sure and that was exciting to watch...but it's not like the other racers were far off either. There's something about American supercross tracks which make off season races somewhat irrelevant as a data point for gauging speed and speculating how riders will perform relative to one another..in the AMA series.

Great promo for Yamahas- Loved the short-cut lane. Hope they use that in the Monster Cup. Great coverage of a great race!

What's the rule on that fly by lane? You can use it from lap 2 on?
I thought if they make it shorter than the normal track then everyone would use it as early as possible to make up track position. Doesn't seem like that, worked out great.

all i can say (assuming 22 gets the Yamaha ride), is he better not complain about the blue cornering ability; the Webb/Chad corners were intense!

I wish the Saturday night got a main like this Sad Still awesome none the less.

Really cool to see all you foreigners stoked on this race too, would be really good for this to become the next big thing for Aus MX.

Damn, just my luck. I was pumped to watch them but now it says they have been taken down.

I took 3 things away from that race...

1. Its been awhile since ive seen Yamaha have 4 bikes up front like that, really cool to see them get back to the top.

2. Webb is a bad dude already on the 450, he just keeps getting better and better. I think he is going to win the West this year.

3. Big props to Reed for being such a class act and giving a shoutout to Webb, respect is rare these days! Awesome race. bring on 16'

Same here... bit gutted as I've managed to avoid the results thus far. Dan, you reckon you can stick them up again somewhere private for us guys to watch?

killer race!

2 things:

1 - the fly by lane was awesome, a great way to get around someone riding a wide bike. i like this idea much more than the Joker (slow you down) lane. Reed should have saved it to use on Reardon.

2 - how did Webb end up with the overall? do they not combine? didn't he finish 3rd or 4th the first night?

I've wondered the same thing. Reed was 1st and 2nd on the two nights, Webb was 4th and 1st. Oh well, not that it really matters.

The Sat night race was round 5 of a 6 round championship (round 6 was 1 week later in Melbourne), Sunday was a 'stand alone' race with no points to the championship.
