I raced one of these for a year when I was 15. People must have thought I was weird. My dad had the matching 250.

That bike is a product of the BMW acquisition of Husqvarna so it's going away.

That twin-cylinder two stroke in Tom White's museum is pretty sweet!

Isn't this the 4th generation as far as countries go?

Started in Sweden
Italy: bought by Ducati/Cagiva
Germany: under BMW
Austria: New owner KTM

Is this similar to what we will see in 2014? After the Ducati acquisition the 1990 125 & 250 models were just Cagivas with white plastic and Husky graphics. Fast forward to 2014 it seems the talk is that the bikes will be KTM's disguised as Husqvarnas.

In 1973 they changed the engine design and went from 4 to 5 speed trannies. Green plate = 250 class. With the bigger tank I'd say it's a 1973 WR250. The CR's came with smaller tanks for the 1st time in '73.

My Dad bought me a brand new 1971 Husqvarna 250 Cross when I was 15 from Malcolm Smith at K&N Motorcycles. Such a great bike and I rode/raced the crap out of it!

The late 60 early 70's Huskys were awesome, classic bikes.

Had a 74 250 Mag CR and gotta agree with Rocket, larger tank means WR

What are the garrahan brothers up to these days? I don't know why exactly, but I've always been a big fan of those guys.
