But hey , side note here. I raced a few years with Kory Ellis on " Bikes " in the INT class back in the day. He was an ok rider on a bike I guess , but when he got onto the quads he just started kicking ass. He did very well with those things , even though I wouldn't of ever ridden one.

How do you adjust the grass cutting height? All that info and detail and they miss the most important info for a ride on mower? ; )

I used to do quad MX years ago and had a full Walsh/PEP, powered by a '03 YZ450 destroked to a 440cc TC National motor. The Walsh chassis are incredible. Crazy money though, I think I had around $16k in that thing.

Looking at your avatar pic, didn't I see a video of your "first race" on Youtube, Brandon? You looked great out there.

never been there...I know a lot of quad guys used to go there. Ive been out of that scene since '09.

I've just always raced bikes and quads...Quads just got way too expensive. When I got out of quads I was running 450A, lap times were about equal to mid-pack 450B bike guys. I used to be able to hustle one of those things pretty well, you just take a beating doing it.

Nice but quads just don't do it for me. I just think of them as a couch on wheels. Would I rather have a quad than nothing at all though yeah for sure.

Does that one come with the lawnmower attachment? I bet it can haul some serious yard debris.......with a utility trailer hooked up.

No matter how hard I try (never that hard) I just can't bring myself to get past hating these berm/rut wrecking sofa's with wheels.
Think about it, you are taking one of the most agile, flick able fun machines/sports and dumbing it down while increasing the danger factor ten fold then quadrupling the price to make it less fun....Why would a sane human ever do that?

The cost factor is closer to dirt bikes than you think. Yes, full race custom quads are expensive, but dirt bikes can be the same way. You can buy a new quad for less than $10k and race it just the same as you can buy a new dirt bike for less than $10k and race it. Both can receive engine mods, suspension mods, graphics, carbon fiber and titanium, exhaust, handlebars, wheels and tires. You get my point. Or leave them stock and ride them.

The idea that a race quad costs $20k and a race bike costs $5k is simply not true.

The issue becomes at what level? I have buddies who run top-3 450B(local) on bikes that are basically stock.

If you want to run top-3 450B on quads(and be safer, durable), you have a big investment ahead of you. And they just break more. I completely abandoned quads simply due to the cost. Keeping one together for a full season of "A" would fund me three seasons of 450C on a bike.
