While we are caught up talking SX and MX series changes, the format that most agree puts on the most exciting show gets snatched up by an unexpected party. Any time Eric Peronnard gets (re)involved as a promoter great things happen. He certainly thinks outside of the box.

The format is inclusive too. You get to see some of the best off-roaders in the world multiple times throughout the night as well as Amateurs, Vets, Trials, and Women demonstrating great skill themselves (at the same time, giving perspective on how good the Pro's really are.). My 14 year old (who knows nothing about the sport) was entertained from start to finish.
One of my favorite parts from being at Ontario last year was the crowd cheering on a last place rider that might have been struggling with the course. Something you see time and time again at your local off-road event. Fans, riders, and track workers giving encouragement in a tough section.
Anybody have the RIDE flyer or link that was part of the Feld Digital Summit? Or received it while at your local Supercross? Curious what it said other than just pointing you to a local dealer. How cool if it had, "Motocross is a fundamental part of motorcycling in the United States and Supercross is the only form of indoor racing that pulls all of the skill and excitement of Motocross in an easy to watch format."
hope this isnt a setback, endurocross has been a very promising series and actually does offer excitement that other series series seem to miss regularly

The idea is that the rulebook for SX doesn't make for parity in the "Professional Beginner" class.
The interesting comparison is that Endurocross has no engine size rules at all. There is also a "class within a class" for Junior and Vet Pro's.

Personally there is way too much AMA in the rulebooks still, and the manufacturer's have already squeezed out the trials bikes and trials tires running in the same class.
Especially when some guy jumps an entire section.
The Champions are some very formidable names, although hybrid motocross riders have been supplemented by hybrid trials riders:
