You always wonder what the outcome will be when a rider makes the transition to the big bikes and then Eli made us wait while he healed up a couple times this year. But if Spring Creek Eli is any indication of what we are going to see in the future everybody else better step their game up quick!

Nope. I think he might very well go 1-1 the rest of the year.
I'll put 5 dollars on that.

I think it was smart for him to heal completely before coming back, unlike say Reed (but I understand Reed has a commitment to his sponsors)...whether he is the real deal or not will be determined by the rest of the season. Given the next race is the track he likes the least then I am not expecting a 1-1 result...however a podium finish and a few wins in the rounds after would be not unrealistic.

I have to agree with your logic kiwifan. I haven't looked at the weather report but I don't think it will be as hot and humid as last week either. We might see Roczen rebound a little or a lot, Dungey will be Dungey and Canard might just pull off a moto win. Can't wait to see how it turns out!

Might be a good bet. Assuming he continues getting good starts, I don't see any reason he will not continue his speed/results from this past weekend.

Eli is an animal.

Interested to see how he does at Washogoul and Unadilla, being more slick.

There is a pattern of good traction or softer tracks that Eli has done his best at this year... Not maybe due to him, he did great at those tracks last year but JT and a few others have said a few times apparently the current honda is maybe a bit harder to set up for the slicker stuff at the moment till they figure it out.

Sure is great to have him back out there.

There are a lot of good things about this season, but him being back has made it even better.

Eli hates washougal. Hopefully he had a better attitude of the track this year.

Eli and his team probably do not have as much of a testing and suspension set up base as the other teams due to their late start. I would not be surprised to see him fall back a bit at Washougal. He may still contend for a win...he probably will not dominate like Spring Creek. At Dilla...forget it. He will crush em..more so even than Spring Creek.

Been going to the Shougal since the mid 70's.......love the place, however the topsoil has been gone for years! The whole track is on hard pan now. Yes a few areas have some natural top soil and the Hoffman's ( to there credit) do bring in dirt.

The hard pan is as slick as a skating rink and the new top soil slides to the side as the race progresses.....

Nearly 40 years of racing, thousands of bikes, each taking a 1/4 # or more away each time. Tons have been distributed to household and car washes in the NW!

I can appreciate that Eli and other Pros find the Shougal slick!

Anyone who didn't think Eli would be the real deal from the beginning is crazy. We all seen what he did last year in the lites. He will be contending for race wins and championships for a long, long time.

Eli is and will be a great rider.

With that said, Kenny Roczen will bring home a 450 MX Championship along with the #1 plate in his rookie year. I don't think KRoc has shit to prove to anyone except himself.

Eli is such an easy guy to cheer for. Great disposition, work ethic, support system, and talent. He's a great ambassador for the sport. Hopefully he can stay healthy and battle up front for AWHILE.

Before claiming he's the next big thing, he needs to make it through an entire series without getting injured. Hell, a year ago you all were saying the same about barcia....

Ha. I'm a Tomac fan through and through. But that is funny of KRoc. Next race will decide where the two stand. My armchair opinion is that Tomac broke KRoc in the first moto and KRoc didn't save anything for the second. I just hope the two stay healthy the next couple of years. This could be more interesting than the Reed/Stewart battles and the two Ryan's battles.

I will be honest and say I was one of the ones who thought Barica would do right this year.....clearly I was wrong...but to jump on the Vital expert bandwagon I will blame the Honda as thats easier to do than blame the rider.

I think Eli would love to be in Kenny's position right now.
One 450 weekend doesn't make a career, but dominating on that track says a lot.
Eli is coming into his own. Hope he can stay healthy and run up front on a consistent basis.
Will make it much better for us.
