I didn't see anything from today , and don't really need too. Yes he is in fact very fun to watch. He seems to really gel with that Husky which is awesome too see.

I think Ive type this story here before..

But my favourite memory of watching CP ride was at the Matterly Basin GP a few years back when he was riding the Kawi in the 450 class. It was on a far corner of the track, was a wide180 degree right hand turn at the top of a hill. Everyone (literally every rider we watched in the 15 mins we were stood there), was blasting up the hill, cutting tight to the inside into the super deep ruts and powering their way out of the deep ruts. It was a rough and gnarly corner, and most guys were coming in, nearly a halt before powering their way out. It wasn't a pretty section.

Pourcel would come up, on the far left hand side of the track, so the widest line into the corner, there was still grass on the edge of the track is how few people were riding that wide line, heck it was barely a line. Anyway, I want to say blast, but it was more like he'd glide up the edge of the track, come into this 180 right hander with a lot of momentum, then he shut off the throttle, went wide right around the deep ruts, kind of navigated the corner like a trials rider and then powered out in a clean straight line once he'd passed the apex of the corner.

Hard to do justice in words, but it was amazing to watch his unique approach as so many guys were coming in there getting ugly in the deep ruts and blipping the throttle.

He glided in there, railed the corner in silence effortlessly carrying his speed until he was clear of the rough stuff then powered back down the hill.

Special talent for sure.

love watching the guy ride, he's poetry on a motorcycle, i just wish the press and many of the mainstream pundits n analysts were more positive toward him and gave him some of the good/friendly coverage they give to some of the moody douchebags and guys that aren't doing anywhere near as well as he is...

roger d looked the same. you'd never watch Hannah and roger and think lap times were close...but they were very close.

CP was right behind Dungey on lap 1 and 1:11 behind at the checkers. It is so hard to figure out how he will do on raceday. It all seems to go according to his mood on the day. Dizzy
