is really re mapping worth it? i have a suzuki rmz 250 2015 with high compression piston, cams, valves, and exhaust and i dont know if i should re map the original ecu or not.
what do you think of the power comander
and does anyone know where to buy the suzuki original program to re map them
vortex and those others are pretty expensive

With all those mods, I expect you might get quite some performance gains.

The problem is, not many people have the suzuki software, plus, it might benefit from being tuned on the dyno.

The power commander only changes fuel, I think the vortex changes fuel and ignition.

The suzuki software also changes both, but it's hard to find someone with the software.

Did anyone see Sanners Instagram on what he did on the dyno with a new KTM250f with good fuel and a remap? 49.27hp

Which is why they should just make that the premier class and make 125s for amateurs and the small class.

Fuck that. Was bummed when they killed the open class and now you want to wack it again.

125 T - Entry Level AM and Pro
250 F and T - AM and Pro
350F|T - 450F|T - AM and Pro

In big bikes, four strokes have caught up to two strokes.

That is a huge difference, it's like 2 different class bikes. Stunning.

That was a little more than good fuel and a remap. Head work, injector, throttle body, fuel pump, air box, air boot, tranny polishing, clearances, exhaust.

Check out www.themotolab.com for your Suzuki. Makes a huge difference.
I can vouch for Tom's work. He ported my head and through the remap in for free on my 13 rmz250. Good guy and I was happy with the results.

Not to hijack the thread, but an interesting post TZ posted about the time and effort into making these improvements I think you guys would find pretty interesting...

If you have the $$, get a vortex ecu.

You can map HP into a bike as easy as sending an Email, as long as you know what you are doing.

$ for $ you will get more HP from a map than a High Comp piston,

I know this is an old thread. Spoke to Tom at motolab and he was great to talk to. He doesn't re-map the ecu anymore without the bike being put on his dyno. Does anybody know of place on the east coast that will re-map the ecu without the bike being put on there dyno.

Contact Sanner at 11/10 mods. He might still map Rmz s.

This has been my experience as well on 09-10 CRF450r's. With just a remap on the 09 with stock exhaust it made a difference. On the 10 with a good map & Yosh RS4 complete TI system was more of a noticeable difference. I'd guesstimate a 3-5 hp increase depending on the fuel being used in my case.

I know this is an old thread but does anyone know of a repeatable shop that can remap a stock 2015 Suzuki ECU? I’ve been looking around without much luck. Thanks in advance.

I couldn't find someone back in the day.

I think your only option might be buying an aftermarket ecu

So I made a bad financial decision.. Found this used for $260..

So I know it's probably not a good idea to just plug this in and go. I was planning on sending it to Twisted Development but unfortunately $250 +SH just isn't in the budget for me at the moment.

I need a good recommendation for somewhere that does good work but doesn't break my bank! Not asking for the cheapest, but somewhere that is trusted and reputable.

Run the stock ecu, save for the TD. Upgrade.
