I'm on my 4th week being down and out with the ol enlarged spleen (Epstein Barr) lol. My question is does anyone here have experience with it and how long does it take to finally stop feeling like total roadkill? I've missed a few races on work the past few weeks and it's starting to really be a bummer alright.

Did the blood test and all that. That's how I found out on the ebv they just said plenty of rest and let it run its course. I'm 23 by the way.

Been there, I am a not a Doctor and am only telling you what helped my situation. Everyone is different, but get Garmin Fenix3HR or some other piece of equipment that monitors your resting HR and estimates recovery. Drink tons of water, take tons of Vitiman C and D, avoid caffeine and energy drinks. Everyone is different, so check with your Doctor before taking internet advice.

Took me about 6 months to feel normal again after mono. Then several months to get base fitness back up.

I relapsed from over doing it and trying to do too much when I was young and developed myalgic encephalomyelitis. I still haven't recovered 20 years later What ever you do, don't try and push through it, as much as it sux your body is trying to tell you to stop. Eat well, sleep well and rest alot. When you start feeling better, rest some more!
