I didn't see another thread about this, sorry if I missed it.

I'm not really a Dungey lover, but this dude brings a lot of positive attention our way, gotta like him for that!

Good clip there. How could anyone not like that guy? I'm glad DeCoster picked him up years ago. Roger has been deserving of a rider who puts as much in as he has over the years.

Great work ethics, humble, respect for others and honesty are just a few traits that has him on top. Good role model for anyone. Thanks for the link.

Work hard and sacrifice and your children notice. And then hopefully they grow into a Ryan Dungey. Past all the racing and everything, but to grow into a good meaningful person.

The devil voice intro made me cringe but after that this was good. Further proof that Ryan Dungey is Mr. Perfect.

Ryan seems to have been raised with a real work ethic that so many are lacking today. His folks weren't wealthy, and his Dad was obviously the farthest thing from a slacker there is...and had to work damn hard for the money. There is nothing easy or cool (literally!) about concrete work! I think he really appreciated how much he and his brother's doing what they loved cost their folks, and he was a good enough kid to put all he had into it. That same work ethic is evident in how he does things now. Good stuff.

I remember an interview with him where he said one of his teachers told him he wouldn't make it riding dirtbikes so he should get his act together in school. If that were me ,I would have shipped a whole crate of Wheaties boxes to that teachers house. The one with me on the front.

Don't think I have seen a better role model in any sport. Win or lose, Ryan is always a class act.

Tony Hawk also had a teacher tell him that skateboarding will take him nowhere in life....and at the time he was making more than she was! Laughing

Dungey is to mx what Tony Hawk was to skateboarding. Very presentable, clean cut with the work ethic, definitely what mx/SX needs if it hopes to 'grow'.

On a side note about Tony Hawk, check out a documentary about the Papas brothers called All This Mayhem, great watch.

Yep pretty sure when people at ktm saw how many dollars they were going to pay for decoster and dungey must have seemed like a lot then, but for a return on investment must looks like penny's now. They hit a home run

Tony hawk did a lot to develop the sport. He took the sport where no one else had. Dungey hasn't done that. Dungey doesn't win by doing things nobody has every done before, he wins because he's got a complete grasp on fundamental riding skills, way more than anybody else (in the current field) save for maybe roczen.

I'm pretty much a fan of Dungey's whole package. He's certainly turned it up notch on the track. He's developed that missing killer instinct, but also knows how to live to fight another day.

However, his podium interviews usually make me cringe.

The reason why Dungey is my favorite rider is because he's a true fan of the sport and is so dedicated to not only motocross, but always helping others. The Dungey family is great for our sport.
