you must smoke way to many drugs.... Rc retired at the end of 06 only racing selected rounds of the 07 sx season. James was the sx champion in 07. Please lay off the crack pipe before expressing your views

pointless, JS7 had to deal with RC in his prime (including a yr 2 vs 4 t) and the ever present vulture Reed who would finish 2nd 6000 times just waiting for Stew to make one mistake. In comparison Dungy got hosed by Villo in 250's (while Bubba hold's the record for all time wins) However you look at it, Dungy's competition comes up Wey Short! Baaaaa!!!! that was a good one!!! Wey Short...Groan only 3 more months of these kinda posts til A-1 Unsure

No! RC rode the entire 07 year including SX and JS went 13-3 against him. Than RC went out on top hosing everyone outdoors as usual. 08 James tweaked his knee, RC retired and Skippy got to win an SX title. JS comes back from surgury and goes 24 and zip and is promptly let go by Kawasaki after winning 2 hundred and fifty nine titles for them since he was 2 months old. Thanks for coming out. Than in 09 James signs with L&M, the only team that could pay him, to an SX only contract, than DNF's A-1 and still goes on to beat Reed for the 09 SX title anyway. That brings us to 2010, he gets hurt at A-2 with a bad wrist injury, navicular bone, and becomes the mosted hated man in MX. Meanwhile the heir apparent, the crimson boy comes in and DNF's 1 SX and 2 outdoor years...I call this Karma, or the Kawasaki curse, for tossing Stewart, which will not lift until 2020. Villo better changes brands quick! Least while, unknown to anyone a certain blond kid gets it all together in his final 250 year and wins 2 titles, an SX by 3 points, and outdoors by sand.... Come 2011, the greatsest of all time is car racing, the fastest of all time is injured, along with Skippy and his 3rd most career SX wins...not too mention Grant, Hill, Short, your dog, and finally, the only real competitions left, Villopoto, who is literally "branded" with a curse and is injured as well. (7 major players injured! ) Dungy inherits the title by default. That brings us outdoors where the defending champ graciously bows out with a virus and Dungy wins the outdoor title against Andrew, "Ive never one a single overall" Short. And there you have it folks, We now have the Golden Boy!!!! the newly crowned "Fastest Man on the Planet" pfffffftttttttttttt!!!!!!! Flame away...get angry, swear....

RC did " NOT " ride/race the entire 07 season.....SX or MX, In sx stewart didn't go 13-3 against rc,rc only raced 8 or 9 sx's..........And outdoors RC only raced half of them and he had such a big points lead that when he left mid-series it took 2 full races for the 2nd/3rd etc. place guys to get around him in points with Langston eventually winning the title!!!!!!

Well sir, I stand corrected, altho I said James won SX in 07 not outdoors in 07, but 08 outdoors, going 24-0! Regardless the Overall point remains the same IMHO, James is the all time best outdoor 125 rider, more wins than the Goat, even beating 250f's on a 125 in an absolutly sick fashion. James won 28 125 overalls over the goats 26, even thou he missed half of one 125 season! Dungy on the other hand doesn't even rank in the top 10 and his only title was a gift from Pourcels DNF. To even compare Dungy to Stewart in the 125/250f class is absurd.
As for the 450 class, Stewart again is the only rider to compare to the Goat, with a 150 career overall wins. As for Dunge, he beat Short with ZERO 450 wins. Point made?

You also realize that Dungey came directly from the B class to the pros don't you? Most in the industry had never even heard of the kid when he was picked for the Suzuki team. It took a few years before he was able to get comfortable and start believing he could win. Look at where he is now. He feels like he can line up against anyone and win. So far he has proven that very fact. He has won against Stewart, Reed, Villopoto, Windham, Desalle, Cairoli, Pourcel, etc, etc.

I think he beat Stewart only once at A-3, when JS raced an SX with a broken wrist, he lead most of the race until he just couldn't hold on anymore and finshed 3rd I believe. I do acknolege your point about the B-class altho I don't think Barcia rode the A-class either, not certain, but his B-class lap times were faster than the A-class.

Anyway, time to agree to disagree. Generally I think these debates come down to who your favorite rider is. A-1 will tell the tale.
cheers

I doubt many people will argue who is "faster", as James has repeatedly demonstrated the ability to defeat his competitors (RC in MX excluded, of course). However, when defined in terms of expectations, Ryan Dungey has vastly exceeded what Suzuki or anyone else might have imagined, while Stewart was anticipated to have far more than 5 major titles after 8 full seasons of racing.

There's a high degree of mental gamesmanship in racing. Dungey struggled with it early, but overcame early doubts & doubters. James, on the other hand, has move the opposite direction recently. But I think we'll see that trend reversed come Anaheim.

"big points lead in 07"? RC raced the 1st 5 races and then millville. He only had a 16 point lead on James after Red Bud. And in 07, RC raced 7 SX and he won 2 of them. James won the other 5.

"big points lead in 07"? RC raced the 1st 5 races and then millville. He only had a 16 point lead on James after Red Bud. And in 07, RC raced 7 SX and he won 2 of them. James won the other 5.
I meant other than james having 225 points to rc's 241 after the 5th round and james missing the next race after redbud then only finishing the next 3 motos before being injured and sitting out the last 9 moto's it took 2 full races [ ie. unadilla/thunder valley ] for short/ferry/langston to catch stewarts and carmichaels points totals!!!!!!!!!!!!!
dont believe me? look it up !!!http://www.amapromail.com/pdfresults/mx/2007/09-millville/mxpoints.pdf

RC still could have probably won if he would have finished the season after millville.
