Dam he is looking good, plus needed a fresh SX Topic around here.

The Euro V USA thing is being over done, think about us poor Aussies, I think every rider in MX and SX hit the deck in every points paying race this weekend.

At least Reedy won a heat and lead the main for a little.

But I digress, Dungey looks as fast as always, as consistent as always and pulled the trigger pretty dam quick on a guy who is not easy to pass today.

He has the biggest points lead after 9 rounds since Reed in 08.

Pretty sure Roczen leaving was the best thing that ever happen to Dungey. They seem to finally have the KTM to his liking and with Baker now in his corner, imo its all over but the crying

At the race I was at tonight, Reed fell in the main while following some guy named Weston Peick. Wink

I was hoping Peick would stay up front.
Dungey was good to get around him when he did.
Those 2 boys on red bikes were coming. No sure what happened to Canard
I guessing he must have bobbled pretty good somewhere. 30 points down is within reach.

I was there also. What I saw.

Dungey looked very solid. That pass on Peick surprised me as it was not old Dungey. Canard was definitely catching him but either Dunge picked it up or Canard slowed. 94 looked terrible, totally uncomfortable. Tickle was also notable, as he looked very fast.

Dungey picked it up and motored away. Tomac and Canard diced hard but couldn't keep up. Dungey is vanilla lightning.

TC was right on him - then Dungey methodically rode the track and pulled away. Many people can beat RD in a certain section or lap, but few can match his overall speed and relatively mistake free rides. He rides at his limit almost all the time and rarely gets in over his head.

Diesel is the best nickname he could have lol.

Peick was on it for the first few laps, his outright speed is up there with the best right now, just needs to last for more laps. No doubt he probably tightened up leading for the first time.

Was good to see him fight his way back past Chad, the battle in that short lap and a bit before Reed went down was intense, lol was pumped for Peick, though would have been more pumped if he did not make the move back by Reed. Smile

Think it was smart for Dungey to make sure the pass was aggressive but clean, the one thing he does not need is to upset someone who is not a title threat but will be running up the front pretty consistently and have that person owing him one.

As for Bagget, I just posted in another topic, he is now only 5 points behind Seely and 11 of Anderson in top Rookies honours in SX.

I say in MX he is a title threat.

Really pumped for Dungey. Cannot wait for outdoors!! i think we will see some good battles between Dungey, Bagget, and Tomac.

He looks awesome, perhaps the best he ever has? Idk but it's certainly enough at the moment.

The downside of course is that this is gradually ruining the tension of the series, obviously that's not Dungey's fault but there it is. I don't think I can bring myself to stay up and watch the races until 3am any more with such a large points deficit to 2nd place.

Yet we still have Vitards who can't see how special Dungey really is. Unless I couldn't afford it, Dungey is the guy I would have in my team year after year if I was a team owner!

Do you think this place will still say Dungey's SX title was a "gift" this year if he wins it? He sure seems to be Dieseling on.. Tongue

Strangely true. My take on that phenomena is that Dungey's fan base is less enamored by chest pounding and more satisfied with letting his results speak for themselves. True Story ...

I also enjoy when people say tomac and canard have "Raw speed" and dungey is good at race management.

Last night is a picture perfect example of him not getting the holeshot, making passes and gapping the " fast" guys. Trey was right on his ass lap 4-5 and didn't make it happen.

I agree. I think Dungey fans are pretty ecstatic and totally satisfied at the moment. That includes myself as well. I think there's another aspect to the cricket affect as well. It's called... Silencing your critics!
