Thanks for posting this. Very, very cool.

His attitude is amazing... seems like the more life beats you down, the more you can appreciate what you have. Smile

I was nervous when I was doing it!

Watching it over again I said Uhh like 50 times!! But O well, Doug has been my hero since I was 12. Anyone other rider I don't get nervous interviewing but with him it was different!

Nah, it was good... I don't think I would have been able to speak at all...lol.

Too bad he doesn't keep up with moto... would've been interesting to hear his answers to the other questions.

It's also interesting that he, being through those injuries, still favors incentive based contracts... hmm.

Good interview, told me about his past that I never knew. I just knew he was a good outdoors rider and a sick supermoto racer before his incident.

Good to see he still has support and that he's gonna be racing again

Just watched the entire thing. Doug is definitely one of the most amazing guys on and off a bike. He is so full of wisdom, with his philosophies on life, and mental strength - it just blows me away. That's really awesome what you said to him at the end of the interview, about being pitted next to him. What a cool ass dude. I still can't believe I passed up the chance to get his autograph while i was next to the Honda pits in Dallas '95. He went on to win his first SX that night lol.

Yeah it was pretty long! Over a hour. But its like one of those videos once you start watch it you have to finish it. Plus he went into so much detail that it turned out much better than I expected.

Tonight I'm going to pick up about 20 races from the 70's - 80's in New England. Jojo Keller, Bob Hannah at Southwick, Dowd, Henry, Finkleyday, and also a race in Europe with John Finkleyday killing it.

Just have to edit them and they will be up on the site this week, so bookmark the site cause that stuff is going to be awesome!

Henry riding video is almost done. Should be up in the next hour or 2.

His line choice on the track was awesome!

I was trying to see where I could have passed him and I don't think I could have. That video made my morning thanks!

DH is incredible. I can't imagine how high the CG must be on that bike. That along with only being able to ride in the sitting position has to be tricky. I don't know how he can keep it upright.

It was really slippery too!

I helped get the bike on the stand and it's really heavy! It took 2 of us to pick it up!

I really enjoyed the interview. The most touching part I thought was when he mentioned asking his family what they thought about him riding again on the ski lift. The interview was great and it was funny that he blew half your questions because he hadn't been following moto.
