I'm disappointed that Matt Moss and Team JDR KTM were split up during podium celebrations.

It's a time for sponsor recognition and team adulation. Maybe they should've woke him up at 6:00am like they did RV, and allow him to soak the glory in with his team?

Is that a Mormon reference?

Seems like someone at WADDA or whatever it is has decided to go on a bit of a power trip with them going to Chads house at 10:30, when he has a kid and pulling riders away from the podium to drug test.

Am I wrong in thinking if they did take drugs that they'd still be in their system say an hour later if not the next day?

The top guys have to tell WADA exactly where they are, 365 days a year. And they ( the riders) tell WADA when they can come and test. They give them the time frame. Reed told them morning, RV said at night.

Exactly, it`s not like they can show up any time. Reed gave them time slot from 6-7 AM.

Everyone can thank the AMA and Jam Sports for fucking things up and allowing the FIM to get their foot in the door.

Have they caught anyone ?

it's just an expensive unnecessary process.

So, all the bitching about no PED testing and now that they are testing, vigorously, you all bitch about it?

Jeez, you should be happy that they haven`t caught anybody yet. Look at cycling and how it went to hell.

I'm not sure they even release the test results anyway so why even test?

They aren't gonna catch shit with a piss test. If it was a blood test, I'd be a different story

You can find results online. There was one guy in Latvia who got caught and he got suspended for 6 month. Everybody thought he had an injury until somebody found a list of caught and suspended riders.

You guys have no fucking idea how this works do you? WADA does NOT give a shit about sponsors, riders, MX/SX, fans, who they are incoveniencing and what time they are inconveniencing you. Thier job is to catch out dopers and thats what they're paid to do. period.

They do give a shit about MX/SX fans, that's the point, it's for the long term benefit of the sport.

Well, they caught someone making unsubstantiated claims in a forum post.

Talking with Roger D. last night, he said in the past that it's taken only a few days to get results back. WADA provides it to the teams upon request (he said that if they don't request a response, they don't hear anything). My guess is, they report to the FIM and/or AMA, but not publicly.

If you want to find out what the list of banned substances are and more, check here. http://www.wada-ama.org/

Believe me mate, they don't. They do testing for most professional sports, not just MX. It's just a business for them.

Oh, and for the record, I think they're supposed to provide the person being tested (in whatever sport) the chance to do podium interviews, etc.

Someone should start a business checking dope testers for dope.

I'm not sure what agreement they have with FIM/AMA is but within cycling, if they are going to test oncourse, they take the rider straight off the bike for testing. Pee into the cup and you're all good to go do TV interviews/prize giving etc...........

From WADA's site...

5.4.4 The DCO/Chaperone may at their discretion consider any reasonable third party requirement or any request by the Athlete for permission to delay reporting to the Doping Control Station following acknowledgement and acceptance of notification, and/or to leave the Doping Control Station temporarily after arrival, and may grant such permission if the Athlete can be continuously chaperoned and kept under direct observation during the delay and if the request relates to the following activities:

For In-Competition Testing:
a) Participation in a victory ceremony;
b) Fulfilment of media commitments;
c) Competing in further Competitions;
d) Performing a warm down;
e) Obtaining necessary medical treatment;
f) Locating a representative and/or interpreter;
g) Obtaining photo identification; or
h) Any other exceptional circumstances which may be justified, and which shall be documented.

Yes, I understand that, but the ultimate reason is for the long term benefit of a sport and it's paying spectators?

It's not just a bunch of guys who thought "let's start a lucrative business where we can just be a pain in the arse to everyone"

Is it?
