Need to settle an argument here. Do you think Jeremy Martin finishes higher than Malcolm Stewart on Saturday? I'm on the side with J-Mart here...

I'm gonna say yes. I think Jeremy's better on a track like Daytona.

So the guy having trouble cracking the top 5 in a regional supercross series is somehow going to correct his issues and beat Mookie.

Answer is NO

If mookie could ride 20 mins consistent and at his speed I'd say no but since mookie is struggling I think J mart may do better since this style of track is better for Him

You could say it like that... Or You could say it like this...

So the 2 time former 250 Outdoor Motocross Champion and Fastest qualifier at multiple SX rounds earlier this year is going to beat the guy who fades 10 minutes into every SX race and hasn't completed an outdoor season in years?

I don't know. Mookie doesn't have the fitness.

But anything better than 13th is a really good day for him. This is his results from this year in the regional 250 series = 6 7 0 0 10 6.

Not a single top 5. Lets be honest, it has been a total shit show.

I listened to the Pulp show a few hours ago and JT said that this is a great opportunity for JMart and i agree, he needs to take advantage of this opportunity.

Key word is fitness. Yes, J-mart will beat mookie because mookie's fitness is so poor.

I don't see Martin running top 5 in the 250 class indoors. If Malcolm can ride for the whole 20 minutes he will be top 8 this weekend.

I think yes. More likely than not, Mookie will have more speed and can manhandle that 450. But, his fitness is not where it needs to be. Too many times we've seen Mookie get a good start, run a top 5 pace, and fade back to 10-15. It's not a huge secret.
Anybody watching the heat races can come to this conclusion, because more often than not Mookie qualifies directly out of the heat races. He has the speed for them and with just a 5 min race his fitness doesn't come into play. J-Mart is in good shape and I think unless he crashes he will beat Mookie. I would love to see what Mookie could do if his fitness is where it needs to be to ride a 20min + 1 lap supercross race. He has so much skill and talent on a 450. So, as things stand right now J-Mart will beat him...in my opinion.

There's a 50/50 chance that he will, but only a 10% chance of that.

I like Mookie but if I had to bet money, it would be on J-Mart. On a better bike, in better shape and has great outdoor speed. I know this is still a SX race but it's not your traditional SX, it's going to get rough and gnarly.

With that being said, first race on a 450 on a rough SX track is going to be tough for anybody, especially a smaller guy. Still picking Martin though. Can't wait, yo.

Malcolm finishes ahead of Jmart in heat.
Jmart finishes ahead of Malcolm in main.

Lost my faith in Malcolm after watching him live in Toronto. Great speed and style for 5 laps, but then lost all aggressiveness and was just cruising around. I had thought his poor finishes were bad luck or crashes, but it appears that he just slows down after 5 minutes.

Does it even matter? JMart riding this race is just an exhibition. He hasnt shown the ability to have a clean SX event over the last 2 years. Mookie has not lit the world on fire in the mains this year.

If this is the best show of the night at Daytona....we are in trouble!

I would bet $1 on Mookie just because he has finished more races.
JMart couldnt win on a 250, a bike that he is very well suited for, why would he be able to hop on a 450 and do any better on a tight stupid track like Daytona?

I would bet another $1 JMart gets a last place start and then makes a mistake.

Malcom will start in front and fade way back, JMart will come through the pack and pass him. Malcom can not last 20 minutes on a track like Daytona. Great rider but lacks fitness!

Ill go with Mookie. It is a long shot, but Daytona is his home track.

Hard to say. If Martin starts way back in the back and Mookie starts top 5 I'd say Mookie wins.

If they start within say even 5 positions of each other I'd say Martin wins

martin needs to NOT CRASH on the first lap, then just start grinding off good laps, 10 to 14th. one of the guys he would pass would be mookie
