First moto, got the holeshot and won the race. Second moto, not so good start. I was racing two brothers and one was quicker than the other. With my bad start both got ahead of me and the slower of the two brothers fell into his assumed job of blocking for his quicker brother. Zigzagging across the track every time I was about to make a pass on him. By the time I finally got around him trying my best not to stuff him in a corner, his brother was too far gone, and there weren't enough laps to run him down.
My local track has great people and nice clean racing. I wanted to punt him so bad, but didn't want anyone to think I was a dirty rider just in case they didn't see the blocking going on. What do you guys think about this situation. I know, I know..... Not getting a bad start will fix this problem. lol

Punt anyone that is blocking you and charge.
Do you want to win the race or a popularity contest?

Local race, don't worry about it so much. Some kind of race or championship with meaning, punt him off and dont give it a second thought!

I have been booed off a local track for completely cleaning another rider (and myself) out because of the same garbage and no one could see all that. I always say to the
if you wouldn't ride dirty I wouldn't have to do it. Next time just do it and not worry about it.

You should have stuffed him! Atleast brake checked him. You know those big bank turns are the perfect place to do it! lol

I had my GoPro on and got vid of the first moto, but I screwed up and thought I had it on for the second moto, but after coming off the track thinking I was stopping it, I was starting it. So no evidence for everyone to see. I was pretty pissed about that.

Practice, get better starts, get faster, get out of the goat trail (better lines). To me there is no reason to clean out another rider for a chicken licks trophy. Might have taken yourself out as well.

It's uploading right now. I even raced a (covering my mouth, turning my head) quad. My buddy broke his toe last night and told me he would bring it for me to run if I wanted. I said bring it, I'll give it a shot. It has been a very long time since I'd raced a quad.

When I was racing, I lived by a simple theory....
When entering a turn, two men enter, one man leaves (Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome)... Not being dirty, but being physical.
One of two situations happened... I left first or we both went down.
As previously stated - rubbing is racing...

I agree. The trophy doesn't mean anything. Winning like that doesn't mean much either. I tried several lines to pass, but he'd come right over in front of me every time. Not gonna happen again.

Nah. I'm parting it out right now. Thinking about getting a new bike instead. Trying to decide on what I want. Either a 2 stroke, or not a 4 stroke. haha.. My choices are limited.

I had the exact same situation years ago running the local B class. Me and big brother were evenly matched and little brother was the blocker. After a few 2nd place trophys it got old. Made sure I parked him in the turn right before the mechanics area just to rub it in a bit. Got on the gate for the 2nd moto and of course he lines up 1 gate inside of me (left 1st turn) I leaned over and said "I have no intention of trying to make this turn" End of problem with little brother!

lol. That's cool! First moto they lined up on the right side of the box and I was on the left side, second moto the faster brother and his dad got down to the gate and lined up where I did in the first moto with brother right beside him. haha.

There is "Riding dirty" and then there is "Riding aggressive". I have only raced "dirty" with friends of mine , who give it back to me....and I expected it.
You should always race some what aggressive. Depending on how long the race is , I'll always try and find alternate lines to pass people , but some guys ride with a rear view mirror....and do everything they can to keep you behind them.
YELLING or revving the shit out of your motor for a split second works pretty well. Also......rub the shit out of his rear wheel , sides of the swing arm , his legs....whatever....just let him know you want by and he better get the fuck out of the way.
If that doesn't work.......come up hard on the inside and punt the son of a bitch! Honestly....I always really dug the rubbing part of racing....makes it more fun.
There is always next week man......and let him know you mean business. Weather it's for money or a trophy......winning is always the best revenge.

I beat him the first moto. I screwed up the start in the second moto and didn't ride aggressive enough in the second moto. That's why he won. I had a good time yesterday though.
