Was injured at Hangtown...Shocked

James Stewart (Yoshimura Suzuki Factory Racing) didn't get much riding in before Hangtown, due to a swollen knee after his tangle with Trey Canard at Glen Helen. He's still working on his outdoor setup. Credit: GuyB

Hasn't his knee been injured since the first sx race of 13? Like over a year of him just gutting it out...? And didn't he tweak it hard again at Vegas sx a few weeks ago?

You can see in the crash video it looks like his foot gets sucked into Trey's rear tire, looked like it would have hurt like hell but didn't hear anything afterwards. Apparently it did hurt like hell....

Most of these guys race each weekend with injuries, it is the nature of the sport. They are all tough individuals that count
injury as part of racing and continue to go out there and endure the pain or they decide to take care of the pain. RV2 endured
through SX to win a championship and James is enduring through Nationals with the same hope. Trey and Chad are coming
back from injury and I'm sure others are gutting it out to keep their jobs. We should count ourselves lucky to able to witness
these racers that we are watching because any one of them could be done tomorrow. I pray for safety and injury free weekends for all our MX warriors. Go TC41! Looking forward to DM18 getting back in the mix. It could be the greatest
summer of racing ever.

I had a feeling his knee was still bothering him. I hadn't seen him walking around or anything , but to me he looked like he was being careful where he was putting his foot down in areas on the track. Remember at Vegas he kind of tweaked it....and a few days later in that video he mentioned " Racing the nationals is the plan.....for right now ". He said it in a way that maybe sounded like something may of been bugging him and may dampen the chances of him racing the outdoors.
