We used to make ramps all over the house and jump these bikes. My rider got so beat up that I had to tape his hands on the bars so he couldn't eject. My rider even got shot with a pellet gun by my brother.

I wonder if any team managers out there thought about doing this to their riders ...

Wish I could find one to collect or let my kids try out what was a cool toy back then.

This was always my favorite toy as a young kid.

The little cars were just made of aluminum foil, so you could re-form them. The truck itself you could rev up and it would take off by itself, definitely cool.

Yep, I had one and loved it but it also provided me with the most devastating day of my life up to that point. The rider would never stay on so I got the wise idea to SuperGlue him on the bike. Somehow a drop of glue ended up dripping into the internals, locked the gears together and my prized Super Stunt Bike was rendered useless....Oh the agony!

Tough break - we just taped ours up. My brother even painted his guy like team honda. You had to be a full time mechanic after awhile from all the crashing.

I got one of the marauder guy also but it was weak - no front fender, chopper bike and all he would do is wheelie. How could he been on "team america"? He looked like he was in the metal mulisha instead only way before his time.

I remember those.

Of course I'm also like many of the previous responders in that I logged more hours testing the Evel Knievel version to its limits. I went through numerous Evels, punishing him mercilously as he was pushed to the limits of flight via a mechanized toy motorcycle.

Two things I remember the most- scraping the skin off my knuckles against the asphalt driveway each time I made a careless rotation of the hand operated launch system, and the fact that after 10 minutes that the handlebars usually snapped off each new bike.

Last year my young nephew found a reproduction Evel Knievel stunt bike set that I bought a few years ago. It was an exact replica of the original, but wasn't a collectors item, so I had opened it to relive my youth.

My young nephew took an interest in it and how it worked, so I leaped at the chance to share one of my favorite toys from youth with him.
After about 10 minutes of ramp time, my nephew came back with a snapped off handlebar and fear in his eyes for breaking his uncle's "toy"...

I just looked at him and smiled and said, "...now you got him broke in for some real action!!".

Good story haha - nothin' a little tape won't fix.

Someone should make these nowadays with an updated bike and rider. My kid had a remote control Pastrana a few years ago but it wasn't near as fun.

I had one of those! Got TONS of use out of it (until the foil cars would rip/tear... they were never the same after that, and plain tinfoil just didn't cut it Sad )

I think I want to get one of the Evil toy bikes for my 17mo old daughter to play with. She already plays with my toy dirtbike all the time, making motor sounds to go with it lol

Speaking of the toy dirtbike... the one I have is the best one I've ever seen made, but I don't know what brand it is. It has working front forks, rubber band 'chain', and 2 sets of tires (one of which is 'ice pick' knobbies) as well as a moveable kick start and rubber pipe. The one I have is all black with One Industries logos and appears to be a YZ250. I think it might be Tech Deck or some spinoff of that because it came with a little hex driver and phillips screwdriver and you can completely disassemble the whole with those 2 tools. Anybody familiar with these? Like I said... it's the best toy bike I've ever seen but I don't know what brand it is nor if you can even get them anymore. I'd love to find another one
