I just got passed in the pits by some old guy on a Jet Ski. Must get a pic of that.Laughing

I'm here in spectator mode only this year. Might hook up and be sometimes pit tootsie. I hear some woman is here on a bad to the bone 74 CR250. Must get a pic of that too.

Thursday night and the place is already packed! Not sure if I'm at a vintage race or at the outdoor opener at Glen Helen this year. Fixing to head out and scope out the swap meet tables before they get picked over.....cash in pocket. Actually, a little cash in each pocket, makers for better negotiations.Smile

3/26/2015 UPDATE ORIGINAL POST: Just a reminder, Diamond Dons is coming up next month. Cool event to check out. Always some great racing, fun times, good food and great people. Kind of like a big party, family reunions, the occasional drunken UTV crash at night.....oh and a vintage race too!

Sounds like a great weekend, that race seems to get more popular every year.

My Simons UDX60's that I sold many a year ago so Bad Brad would have a proper bike to ride. Wait, what? 60 mm inverted forks way back in 1982???

Wow, excellent stuff! That CR looks a little beyond restored, Racer92, to race ready. Sweet!

Yep, didn't Brad use them on his factory Suzuki too?

Interesting CZ (380?) next to it..."Trampas Parker" on the number plate & "Brad Lackey" stenciled on the aluminum tank. Looks like the cylinder fins are milled and the head has the porcupine job. Lotsa trickery on it too...

Who raced the bike, Parker or Lackey?

Damn, I miss Texas! I haven't seen Don Rainey in years.

Newmann. Wait till you see our bike Doug Dubach is racing. I guarantee that it has more cabon fiber on it than the whole entry list combined!! That 100 race will be epic. Too busy to get out there but Dr D., Jim Gibson, Scott Burnworth, Guy Cooper, Trampas Parker all on the same 1983 yz100s will be amazing. Talk about Race of Champions. Doug did finish 3 overall in the open Pro class at Glen Helen for the two stroke nationals last sunday so he is gonna be ready!!
