Congratulations to the Decal Works team. I've been friends with Ron since he started SoCal back in the day and have always loved their work.

Why any graphics company would want to pay $50K + and supply hundreds of sets of graphics to the team and NOT BE ABLE to sell them to the general public is beyond me. I don't see an upside to this ....,

Brand awareness at the top level with arguably the top team at the moment...it still holds value especially for a company that hasn't put themselves out there in a while and doesn't have the "coolness" factor of some of their younger competitors.

DeCal has heavily marketed in magazines for years, gotta mix things up a bit, can't do the same thing over-and-over.

I'm pleasantly surprised at the move, good for Ron and his crew.

It's at the same spot as last year's graphics sponsor. Below the Moto-Master Brake Systems sticker on the front fender...

PS. Sorry Maverick didn't see your post.

Not sure why DeCal Works' logo isn't on the side shroud under the white KTM lettering like other graphic companies. It seems like it would be the ideal spot to have their logo but maybe the space was too expensive?

Good for DeCal Works. Love their stuff. Great customer service. Plus I love the way you can design your own graphics and see the changes as you make them.

How much does it cost a company to give the free graphics as a sponsorship? $50,000 plus unlimited graphics kits?

Maverick, Goose and More,
The DeCal Works logo will be on the sides of the front fender, next to Red Bull. Also under the front fender and on the airbox. There will be no logos or decal on the lower section of the rad shrouds come 2018.

Personally I think the side shrouds would of been the better option for exposure but regardless it's great to finally see your company logo on such a high profile team. I ran your graphics and background numbers from 2004 to 2009 when I got injured.

Great company and great products.

DeCal is high quality product and a great company. Having said that, they have a long way to go to match the cool factor that someone like D'Cor, 180 or (RIP) One Industries have. This is a great move by Decal to help push the brand image forward.

Good for Decal Works. They've had top notch products.

On another note I really hope you don't have to pay a team 50K+ to be the graphics sponsor. No way the ROI will be there. You'd have to pick up 100K+ in new business for that to even be close to worth it. I don't see that happening at all.

A friend of mine paid $25,000 to have a sticker on the rear fender of factory kawasaki for one year back when Jeff Ward was on the team. The team never mentioned them one time in anything, they got team photos with them at one of the races and they still use it in their advertising.

I won't speak for them, because it's not my place, nor do I know the details of their deal. But you can bet money that I'm in the ballpark. I hope it works out for them, it's too bad they can't sell the team graphics, even though they are all over EBay....
Decal Works has to be spending a fortune on their advertising, I don't think anyone has the size ads they have in multiple magazines.

Putting their logo on that bike comes with a heavy price tag. One would wonder why a company would pay to put their logo on a bike and not even beable to sell the exact kit do to copy rights of red bull.
