Please ask this one question to all the riders you have next time. One of your 5 questions. Because everyone still compares the 450 to the 250 2 stroke and it's ticking me off. Please ask riders 2 stroke 250 or 4 stroke 250. NOT 2 stroke or 4 stroke. I'm so tired of the comparison of a 450F, it is just.... Grrr. Anyways, we all know the 250 vs 250 is much closer of a comparison. Thanks :-)

better yet, ask only those riders who have racing experience on all of them.

i hardly doubt say someone like barcia would know fuck-all about a 250 smoker versus stroker

Sadly, you're right. This new generation of kids never rung out a 250 smoker.

I think riding the two smokes help with all around riding ability. And its sad that the new school won't have a clue what a modern 125 or 250 two stroke feels like. Hell the only two stroke bikes some of these kids may ever ride are 50's and 65's. Learning to ride a 125 to the T will teach these kids more about momentum and keeping their corner speed up rather then the lazy four stroke riding technique.

i agree, i turned pro on a 125 and then started racing the 250 pro classes. i think it helped my ability and technique. now i get on a 450 and i can haul ass without riding all year and more easily get myself into trouble.

In all honesty, I don't think you can compare a 250 2 stroke to a 250 4 stroke OR a 450. The 250 2 stroke has more HP than the 250 4 stroke, but has less than the 450. Weight becomes a factor with the 450 being substantially heavier but the raw HP of the 450 still makes it faster than a 250 2 stoke.

Whats my point? I have no fucking idea!....wait...oh yeah: you can't really compare the three bikes, unless you throw a 350 into the mix! W00t

Always remember: 2 strokes = wave of the future. Cool

Here's a question

Ask them if they get tired of being drug in to a tired old debate about bikes that are not being built anymore.

2 strokes are fucking dead, get over it.

Ask them this.

If you are on a 250 F or 450F, and RC and Bubba are on a 125 or 250 2 stroke, can you take em?

If they say yes, someone needs to hook that race up.

Fuck everyone else's opinion. I love my 2 stroke. I raced 4-strokes since 2002 and they were great bikes to race with, but I PERSONALLY have never had more fun than I do on my 2-stroke. To each his own, if you like it, ride it. Why do we need other people to validate our opinions?

If you think a 5 year old 250 2 stroke doesn't have close to the same power as the Pro Circuit 250F's that is crazy. I mean, with all that new tech, all the money invested. Interesting. Joking aside, I actually think the 250F fairs pretty good against the 250 2 stroke. Anyone have that vid of LL 250A class. It was all the way to the finish. Because it isn't all about power. It is also about cornering and smoothness etc. So it seems to be a very fair matchup.

Do you really think they are all the way dead? I used to think that, but now I am not so sure anymore.

Here locally the market is flooded with used 4 strokes. People are bailing on them because its so expensive to rebuild them and when you do rebuild them, its still like you are riding an old beat up heavy horse. I see the used 2 strokes selling faster and thier prices are holding a bit better.

In Europe the 2 stroke sales improved last year for most brands. I have no idea why that is since I don't live there, but that is the stats.

So where are we really headed? Lets say someone can build a better 250 2 stroke with a more usable powerband that weighs 30 pounds less than a 450F. Would that turn things around? Just saying.....

"We saw a 20% increase in two-stroke sales last year without any promotion at all. There is a market out there, particularly as cash is tight, and the savings on service because the rider or his father can make many repairs themselves is for sure an important factor."

I'm pretty sure riding a two-stroke adds 25 IQ points, boosts your credit score by 12.9%, and makes you much more attractive to the opposite sex. Research is being completed to see whether it also freshens breathe and prevents tooth decay.

It's like learning to drive with an automatic, instead of a manual without the hydraulic clutch.

OK, good point.
Might want to frame it as ... if they were amateurs without any support and free of any obligation to ride either type of bike. Doesn't do much good to ask someone that is already paid and contracted to ride thumpers.

I also heard that the four stroke makes you more apealing to the same sex ( gay dudes) 8 out of 10 trials.
