look we all know how fast dean Wilson can go and it's been a mental beat down for him over the last 6 years but I think after finally finishing out the season and in the top 5 he is getting back to that 2011 form. I think he will consistently be in top 5 outdoors. What does everyone else think? And who else will surprise in 450 class

Massive Deano fan, tall, scottish, faf, love watching him ride. Hope he kills it, think he will. In 2011 he showed all these same guys whats up. He can do it, just has to.

I hope he does well. He's looked good in the vids, but I've been fooled by that before

He is a moto rider. Much like bb4. He will do better than sx thats for sure. I think he gets arm pump in sx and thats what holds him back.

He looked really comfy in the RX Pala video. If Eli doesn't win then I hope it's Deano.

I hope he gets through the series without injuries. Racing 17 rounds of SX and 12 of MX without injuries would be a HUGE step forward for him.

I think he will be top 5 in the points if he makes all the motos without any major crashes or bike malfunctions.

Deano has been looking really good lately, but so have Grant and Brake Badass. Seems in all three rider's cases that they've finally had some time to heal up and get some racing in and it is really paying off.

IMO, Dean needs to believe he belongs up there.. No question on his speed/talent. I can't say regarding his fitness, but the great outdoors shows all shortcomings if any.

Hard not to be a Dean Wilson fan. The guy has all it takes, but it's taken a factory ride and a (finally) top-5 finish for him to (hopefully) start believing he should be a top-5 guy...if not a winner. I hope he stays on with Husky in 2018.

They all look good in the vids. Mainly because all of the top 20 are phoenominal.

I think Deano will be a real threat for top 5. Beating Tomac, Dungey or Musquin will be hard for anyone to do but outside those top 3 I think he can compete with anyone.

So pleased he got that Husky ride and I don't know why for sure, but I just get the feeling that he has been laying back in SX, just putting in some great qualifying times but not hanging it out in the races ,to the point that he might jeopardise his outdoor season .
Would not be surprised if he beats Anderson and is the top Husky rider in the outdoors .
I'm a Deano fan, hoping he has good luck this outdoor series!

"...over the last 6 years..." That says it all. These guys are what they are, no matter what we hope for them. Dean will be solid top 10 and maybe get into top 5 at the end of the season as injuries take a toll. And that is a good showing, nothing to shake your head at.

Bagget will get podiums, maybe an overall. Anderson/Webb will be constant threats. Other than that it's the Tomac/Musquin show. Unless RD stays in it.

Maybe Peick can surprise us?

I think he will be always inside the top 10 (3-10) and have some fast qualifying times just like at SX. He will prove he can last a season but show he has more in the tank. Husky hopefully re-signs him and his massive Instagram following for two more years. Well deserved.

Dean is going to be good. He'll be a presence in the top 5 maybe a couple podium overalls. I think he'll beat Ando in points tbh

My prediction for final standings...
1. Tomac
2. Dungey
3. Baggett
4. Musquin
5. Wilson

He has an outdoor title against almost every guy out there now. I think he will definitely do better than supercross.

The way he has been riding and training I expect top fives and a few podiums. No question about it. After what he has been through for the past few years with injuries this would cap off a tremendously successful rebuilding year for his career. As a Dean Wilson fan I love it.
