I didn't see a thread about him tonight if there is one I'm sorry. I thought he did pretty good for what he brought to the table. Besides having a bad ass looking bike he looked good

He got the worst start ever but didn't see much of him on tv. Good result though.

He just needs some time to build and get his confidence back. He only had 6 weeks on supercross track coming into A1 and is probably glad it's out the way. He did good but deffo think once he finds some rhythm he will be way further up the field

He started dead last. But finished 13. Not the best but considering coop was 10th. I think he was pretty solid.

Deano looked slow tonight. All things considered he might have just been playing it cautiously

Thought he looked good too except the whoops, a normal strong point for him. He was horrible there and pretty good otherwise.

True but if they are giving you stock bikes...better than paying for a different color stock bike.

He was a definite 22nd place going into the first turn. Ran a clean Main, making a pass every other lap and slowly moving forward. This isn't exactly a depleted field. Lol. Has some good things to take from this race going into Round Two.

He was hounding Webb on the semi and the main. I'd say that's pretty impressive

End of lap one, he was 13, gained a spot after bagged went down, got passed by Weimar and Tickle on lap 9, then inherited two positions when Reed and Tickle dropped out. May have made some passes on lap one, but just kind of held his relative position for the rest of the race. Didn't see him much, but he may have just been playing conservative letting the season come to him.

What'd Emig say: finished 9 SX races in 3 years? Brutal. He's top 10 material if he doesn't leave stadiums in an ambulance. Dean will find a good groove soon.

He was catching Webb for 11th in the main and pulling a gap on the Suzuki trio of Weimer/Bogle/Tickle before he lost his front brakes and got tight, rather finish the race than crash. First race jitters get the best of everyone from time to time.

The Privateer effort will have some growing pains as they get everything dialed in. He's got a lot of people that are pitching in to help with his program. His old mechanics Paul and Ollie kept swinging by and helping Dean's Dad Andy get the bike ready. Plus a suspension tech from factory Yamaha and Ross Maeda. They will get it dialed. It wouldn't surprise me one but to see him finish top Yamaha at one of these upcoming rounds.

Dean looked good in flashes (the only 450 to triple triple the first base rhythm lane after the start was pretty awesome to see, too bad he cased another triple in the third base rhythm lane or that hot lap might have put him in the top 5). The track got way choppier than what they practice on (because of the rain), and he will get better with more time on the bike in race conditions. Things are looking up.

And the Emig stat must have included the races he filled in for Chad in 2014. Unfortunately his KTM Supercross career was only 4 main events.

Lots of good info in the above post. Reconfirms to me what a good dude Deano is...I mean his two prior factory mechanics pitch in to help him when he's in need...how many other riders have that kind of relationship? And Deano's pops, he looks in better shape that some of the riders. Good luck Team15.

How anyone cant pull for him and his dad is beyond me.... personally i think its way cool his dad and former mechanics are there helping him. 13th on the night as a privateer is pretty respectable, beat some factory supported riders along the way too!

Go Deano and his dad!

I was looking for better from him last night but I think he made the best of it considering his start in the main. I was hoping to see him start inside the top 10 and see what he could do from there. He's someone I'm definitely paying attention to as I want to see him ride to his potential. He deserves a few things to break his way. It's hard not to root for a kid who is doing whatever it takes to get to the line on Saturday nights. No ego there, just desire.

It's awesome hearing about the others just stopping by to help out where they can. Hope he builds on it and ends up having a great season. He has shown flashes of outright speed in the past, and he's not really hat old, so go get'em Dean.

He battled and won and lost some places during the main. What's really impressive, to me, is that he kept going back into battle...

He put in a solid effort and was VERY impressive to watch.l

Privateer Deano did way better than Canard and Pourcel on full factory efforts.

I'd say his ride last night is an indication that he could be a top 10 guy. Not really a surprise, but it's been a while since he's been consistent with anything and top 10 is good right now.

considering he was last out of the gate I think he did pretty good.
Was it Deano or Reed last out of the gate? The footage I got to see was way below SD!

^^thanks for the clip Kirk. He looked great through the triples...not so much in the whoops after that. If they can get that figured out for San Diego, things may go well. Like the story. Rooting for him and his pops!

Fine performance for Deano! Thanks for clarifying what happened to him, got me thinking when he lost a couple of spots. He'll only get better each and every round, GO DEANO!!!

Reed was in middle wilson on end. Reed was last out of gate but he made up some ground. Wilson was last to first turn
