Some of us do know how to shop and that's not by taking a 3 hour trip, 10 times to hear a dealers shitty OTD price in person.
Some of what you said above makes sense. I could have had a bike shipped to me for 1-200 less but bought from a dealer 40 min away who knew their stuff.

Everyone has different needs when it comes to buying a new dirt bike but for me I wish it was as simple and straight forward as buying my honda lawn mower online -- drop shipped to my house in a box...

I worked as a salesman in Powersports retail for years and most of the dealers wanted top dollar for everything and didn't like to negotiate. Most of them are out of business now. While I admire someone's desire to run a profitable business, nothing sucked more than losing deal after deal the store whoring it out up the road. Obviously this was worse with off road bikes.
