Yup, general admission is all you need. After attending the last 20 years of Daytona SX, I told myself last year, no more. Whoever was in charge of building the track should be fired,1 lined piece of crap, bring back Gary Bailey. Sorry to be a downer, but Daytona used to be epic, no more. Have fun

Couldn't agree more. I love RC but he doesn't need to be in charge of the Daytona track design anymore.

Years of Daytona experience under my belt. My advice is to move around for the heat races and take in different sections of the track. But for the mains, get a seat on the lowest rows of the upper deck. It's by far the best area to get the best whole race experience.

We go as high as we can to see the whole track. Its not that bad actually. Standing on the track isn't too much fun

First time I went, I thought it would be so awesome to stand on the Nascar track. Bad idea. By the 250 main, your ankles hurt so bad from standing on a 45 degree angle all night and you can't sit to rest them. We were straight on from the start and couldnt leave to flat ground or we would never get back. People packed in too tight. I figured i stood there all night, whats another hour. Sit in the stands. Maybe further away but your ankles and knees will thank you.

Us moto guys can't stand in one spot for 3 hours. That's crazy. You'd have to carry me out of there.

It was terrible. My toes started going numb from already having knee and hip problems on my right side. I felt it for a few days.

Go every year. GA was the way to fo until last year. Now its sucks. You are on the sides. Just get seats in the center half way up. Low sucks as you have to look through the fence.

Doubt bailey's track would be much better since the four stroke revolution.

Some of his designs weren't that great when it was two strokes.

The whole Daytona event has been very over rated for years.

I'm sure it could be improved, but RC was forced to screw up the track for the sake of TV timing. Maybe that will change with the timed heats\mains this year.

As you can see from this picture down low you have to look through the fence. Daytona is very long and narrow, unlike all other stadiums. If you get left or right, you won't be able to see the opposite side. It sucks to hear the crowd cheer, but not know what from. Center half way up is the way to go. You will be right across from that big black building you see in this picture. They do have monitors on each side to show you the action, but its just not the same. I agree on the track wristband. Fun to watch a race or two, but then it sucks. We usually go there until we are tired of it and then go up to seats and kick out the deadbeats. Also with GA if you don't get there an hour early you will be real disappointed. Lots of jerks saving seats too.

Im sure the track is also designed with the amateur event in mind as well (not that that is a good thing for the pro races). Follow the money.

Just got my Daytona tix. Got the last two good seats together in the middle. Same setup as last year, the GA sucks. If you are going, better buy soon.

The reasons the track isn't as good is because they are limited now on where they can build so that the drainage and sprinkler system done get damaged and tv time so like someone said maybe it might get built differently because of the timed races now
