I watched 2000 threw 2008 "big bike" (lots of name changes in that short time) main events last night. Depression sets in around 2005. The day races were awesome, the 2 stroke sound added more excitement, the non chookie cutter supercross tracks really threw everyone off (except James and Ricky, well actually it threw James off his bike a few times too). Something about that 2 stroke sketchyness was fun to watch

I think 85 was the year we raced over light poles for whoops.

Cracking up at the directing for the 1979 race. Same things happen today, there's a battle for the lead on the last lap and they switch to Tripes by himself on 3rd. Interviews in the middle of the race. Away at commercials when key passes happen. I guess not much has changed in 38 years of TV broadcasting.

Track was basic but cool. There was a bit of pavement showing though, today's guys might complain about that TongueLaughing
