hard to think with this many staples that that arm will be ready for outdoors but I sure hope so.
I hope it heals fine and quick so he can make Hangtown

Gnarly looking!

I hope he can make it back healthy and ready for the outdoors.

If anyone can overcome it, Canard can.

Hope to see him back when the time is right and he is fully healed.

He was having a great year and things were gelling for the red team.

Jeezuzz! I think if I had a choice of getting it set and deal with a cast for 6 weeks , I'd go that route instead of the scar , steel plate and staples to cut down on re-coop time.

My upper wrist was almost a compound fracture and I got an " external fixator " installed. I have a scar the size of a golf ball above the break and a nice 1" long scar on my hand from the screws.

Why in the world did they need to cut into Trey like that for? That seems crazy and uncalled for!

Hope mom chimes in here.

The have a special tool that pushes down in the center and pulls up on the edges at the same time. Ones I've had removed actually didn't hurt at all.

This? What hurt the worst for me was getting the screws from my x-fix pulled out or the rods from my tib and femur. Staple removal felt great.

Dang, Jake had some serious hardware as well.

It is hard to see Trey like that so soon after the other injuries. Comes with the sport though. Some are luckier than others.

He had an existing plate on that bone from a late 2013 crash. The bone broke at the end of that plate. So, they had to make the incision somewhat bigger to remove the old plate, and then install a new Carbon Fiber plate (probably centered over the break). I think I read that in an interview with him on Transworld.

That plate does look pretty large! Found the before shot.

I agree, what these guys do to themselves in order to get out there a few weeks early and possibly have life long issues is ridiculous. Not sure if that's the case here but damn...

One thing is for sure.....he does have a double coverage from the man above.....He is an incredible fast talented devoted rider ...but ....The family and sponsors...and maybe the man above must be getting second (or third, fourth, fifth, sixth) thoughts. No doubt hes a warrior....but its devastating to see him that badly hurt everytime.....at least it really hurts me.Of course this goes for Jake also.

And pro nfl players complain of aches and pains after retirement. This late of batch of professionals is really in for it later in life.

Probably the only thing that Bobby has ever written that I actually enjoyed reading! Funny guy!

Silly

But yeah that's nasty. Hope Trey heals up. I've had staples taken out of my knee after ACL surgery and it's actually not painful at all. Just pinches a bit.

Jeffro, I'm not sure anyone has mentioned it to you, but you may want to ease up on the coffee. (Or energy drinks.)

They have these medical professional called doctors. They do what they think is best for their patients, based on the current injury, and any previous injury.

If I read the press release right, they removed old metal plates, and inserted new carbon fiber plates. That might explain the size of the incision.
