On Saturday, I saw DC at Washougal. He was humping overfilled trash cans around to empty them. It was 94 degrees. Mind you, he runs the series, and has plenty of people that could do it for him.

I have personally done some things that caused him great aggravation. These were purely errors in my judgment, and frankly not very cool on my part. I don't know a soul who would have helped me afterwards. But in both cases he not only let them slide, he went out of his way to help me with rather large favors, that give him nothing in return. Just did it to help.

Once, back a couple years ago, when visit the RX offices, he told me that he had RX reasonably on track and was now going to focus on making outdoor MX the best series in the world. This was back 2 - 3 years ago, but I still can picture him saying it. It really stood out because he already is pretty set with the magazine, but wants the next challenge.

Too many people misjudge the guy.

Everytime I see DC I am intimidated and decide to not go say hi. He's always busy doing something to move the show along schedule and I realize its probably not a good time.

Not sure? Who in their right mind would want to be like Dan Lamm (Indian Dunes son) and also very boldly states his dislike of MXSports and what they do and stand for!
