I think it's a bit longer? something of that nature, spreads the wheelbase out a bit and stabilizes it. I'm also totally pulling that out of my ass so don't take my word for it

I first saw this on YZ250 at the two stroke worlds a few years ago and Willie from Lightspeed told me on that bike it saved a pound and a half on their race bike. I think it flexes less too because of the larger rear axle used on the newer design? Some say it actually makes the bike turn better as well but I am not sure how accurate these claims are.
