This thing is amazing. Tons of bling and super exotic parts. Looks like works suspension for sure. And definitely works triple clamps and wheels.

Use the 2nd link above. I can't get an edit button to pop up to delete the first link.

Nice, but nothing that couldn't be easily duplicated with a credit card without a limit.

Get ear plugs when you ride with that WB pipe. I think I lost some hearing riding with the pipe for a couple year. People around me said it was so loud, didn;t want to ride next to me.

Huh, looks like stock hubs, wheels, rear shock, upper and lower clamp. Nothing on there worth 6500 in my opinion!

I was trying to post what a "craigslist gem" it was. It looks like a ratty 06 with a WB pipe and at best a Factory Connection revalve. Otherwise the bike it totally stock with a lame graphics kit. The owner somehow thinks he has $23K invested and thinks it's worth $6.5K. Too funny.

You goons must be blind! He said you have to run RACE fuel, the bars say PRO taper, forks and shock reservoir say FACTORY connection, and the seat cover has the words FACTORY AND HONDA on it!! How could anyone argue that it is not a PRO FACTORY HONDA RACE bike?!?! And everyone knows how much better your lap times are with constant throttle wheelies, and this bike is KING! I'm calling him. You guys are gonna miss one hell of a deal. I just hope its not already sold!

What a joke. He'd be lucky to get 3 grand for it. But then again, if somebody is looking for a sweet Factory Effex seat cover, and something that's "STUPID FAST, TONS of TORQUE, throttle wheelie KING", this might just be their bike!

Haha I bought an 09 RMZ450 with $22,000 (bike+mods) into it for $3,800 last summer. This dude better be banking on some redneck with a checkbook that wants to throw rooster tails in the field when drag racing his neighbors banshee to buy it! The things not even efi!

I don't doubt for a second that he has $23,000 invested in that bike. The guy at the Honda shop probably set him up with a sweet deal on it:

$7,499 Bike
$1,496 Freight & Setup
$45 DOC
$745 Tax
$29 License.....

Then the guys at Factory Connection gave him the gold treatment....

Then the guys at the Honda shop sold him the graphics and seat cover...

He's counting all his riding gear, tiedowns, gasoline from 3 desert trips...

This sport adds up! Don't hate the playa for trying to recoup an investment.

BFD. It's a thumper with a bunch of overpriced bolt-ons and stick-ons. I bought a 500AF for $6500 that'd drag that obnoxious thing around the track like it's a toy.

Lol. So true, and that's with the owner on it with a full on "Flinstone brake application" in sheer horror. Having never gone that fast in his life before.

Dude will be lucky to get $2500 for that bike. Nothing special about it, just an exhaust, graphics and maybe a re-valve. People are stupid.

There is NOTHING special about that bike .... Imo, when you do all that to a stock bike it makes it worse bec of the mismatched parts and how they work in balance with the bike.

ALSO......NOBODY noticed that bike is an 04crf at the very best. Definitely not an 05 & up

Yeah, that's an '04. You can tell by the frame that it's not an '05+ and the ignition cover that it's not an '02-'03.

I agree 100%. It can take hundreds of dollars to fix an old junker bike up to the level that this one is at ! Pro-taper bars, probably Tusk handlebar adapter so you can mount them to the stock triple clamp. Big beefy stock pegs. An anodized oil fill plug. I bet most of the packing is blown out of that silencer, and that is something that would take you 50-70 to do. That thing drinks race fuel and i bet it is nice and loud when you are doing throttle wheelies !! After seeing this bike, looking at Barcia's or Reed's bike just aint the same Smile

I was really ready to drop $6,500 for that bad boy then you guys kinda dampened my enthusiasm ...

My checklist for a new bike is something like this:

- I want it to be FRESH. The track hoochies will like me much more if my bike is fresh.
- It must take RACE FUEL, specifically 110 octane.
- It definitely has to be STUPID FAST because there is fast and then there is STUPID FAST.
- I need TONS of TORQUE to get me off the line to go STUPID FAST.
- After watching Doug Domokos as a kid, I always wanted to be a THROTTLE WHEELIE KING. I just told my friend that the other day.

I was thinkin that it was about an '04, but I'm not a CRF expert so I wasn't sure. I'm usually pretty solid about telling what year bikes are tho, and that definitely isn't '06!

A buddy of mine met up with these guys in a parking lot to sell a YZ250, and they were asking him the weirdest questions like how many sets of tires he had been thru, and what kind of oil he used. He kicked over the bike and just kept blipping the throttle off idle, maybe to a half rev at best, for like 3 minutes. I'm thinking to myself "what the fuck is he looking for, the purple powerband light to come on or something??" I was just waiting for him to dumb it in the parking lot.

Anyway, your list and description of how he came to the $23,000 digit reminded me of the "how many sets of tires" question.
