The 2006 CRF450R Honda is a good bike. The most normal wear item is the valves. You can replace the complete head through APE for about $550. This head is 100% complete ( less the cam) and all you have to do is install it, shim the valves and go.
So assuming the crank is in good shape, you would have a good bike for under $2700, if all else is good.

Hmmm. Tough one. It seems like an old bike even though it's fairly new, and a good year for the CRF
