So now that the outdoor season is officially less than two months away has anyone heard any information as to whether or not he will be racing this summer? Not really looking for people to come on here and bash him or this topic. Just looking to see if anyones heard anything about him as far as contracts. Maybe fill in spots. If hes even been training etc. If he doesnt get picked up soon he will obviously not have enough time to properly get in shape and he will start out behind the 8 ball and with as fast and consistent as martin was last year that would not be a good way to start. Thanks

Would love to see CP out there. He definitely has unfinished business in the 250 class outdoors. Seems like it's Kawasaki or nothing for him though. I wonder if an outdoor-only PC ride is possible.

Bud Racing's boss wanted to hire him for the outdoors, but recently told the french press that partners (including Kawi) don't come rushing in to help Pourcel ride, time is running out and he can't make things happen on his own...

I talked to him at Daytona, and it didn't sound like he had anything cooking at the time.

Heard through the grapevine he wanted to ride a 450 outdoors and had something going on...
Time will tell.

Results aside, he doesn't exactly have a great track record in dealing with the teams that provide those rides.

What is so bad about his track record? He left motoconcepts because he didnt feel comfortable on the bike. Even they forgave him because they were in talks of signing him last year. And why is it thats tarnished his career forever, yet James stewart walked out on his contract with JGR And no one ever mentions that? Didnt james have multiple years left on that contract also? Where as cp's deal with MC was only for that season

Well let me say I don't know the whole story, and like anything there are two sides...... but he pushed out the money guy (not Brooks), then got arrested and lost the casino money. To top that, he never held up his end of the bargin to front the money that was absent from the guy he forced out. So the team folded and he went to JGR....... because of him 1)forcing out the finincial backer team owner and 2) breaking a clause in a contract

Oh sorry. JS7 and walking out on JGR was brought up in comparison to CP and his black cloud. As far as I know CP has never burned anyone or caused teams to fold because of his actions....... so although he may be difficult/arrogant/pissy/rude at least he never crashed an entire team.....Whistling

Idk difficult and pissy may be perceived out of him liking a particular bike set up similair to say the way reed comes off. Rude? Probabley stems from the language barrier because ive heard many stories of him being very polite to fans that have chatted with him. And idk about arrogant either he often praises and congratulates the other riders when he loses. I cant remember if it was after he lost a race or the championship to Canard during an interview with i believe weege he walkes up moments after he lost and congratulated canard right on the spot and spoke highly of him. Canard seemed pretty impressed by that since I dont think that happens often

I'm sure he could go pretty good on a Tedder bike Huh
That's not a bad idea. He has the Monster link thanks to so many years with Kawasaki/PC (I admittedly have no idea how solid that link is, but it is there).

Cp is one of the most talented riders in the world... To see him without a ride is frustrating....would love to see him on a good bike ie reeds with a setup he likes and go out and piss all over dungey and co.... Guys an enigma But can do things on the track others would never dream of.

Instead of 22 Motorsports, they could call themselves Team Cry Baby.

Breaking a clause in a contract? What in the world could let you think that involved CP?

Whatever that guy does, pissy or not, he brings attention to his team and thus to the teams sponsors.

If I was a team owner and Chris threw a fit at every other race because his grips were too soft or his croisant was stale, Id laugh it off because I know that at least a few times during each moto of the TV broadcast that Weege guy is going to talk about "The Crafty Frenchman" and probably say the teams name when he did.

Pourcel gets more attention in the 250 class then any other rider regardless of position. Fact!
