Quads are huge in Kaybec, probably sell a few. $2500 USD for a set of their billet CR500 cases. Guy in Calgary is building a 625 Liger kit on top of them, built by the CR500 God Adam Millar. Going into a KTM frame, supposedly going to make 100 hp. I see the population of Calgary decreasing by 1 sometime in the not too distant future.

Why bigbores? Most people can't ride a 250 to it's potential. O and that's a quad, I'm out!

On good dirt I agree no need for a big bore but on a soft sandy track you can always use more power. Look at their site guys. Updates to kx and cr 500's, what's not to like? The counterbalanced motor in the quad belongs in a dirt bike!

What we need is a 600cc twin EFI for snowbikes.

Well, I have many questions for them, but they don't seem to want to answer any of them.

Were the TRX cases ever the same as the CRF cases? if so, what years?

If not, will you be making other fitments? I'd certainly be interested in a KTM steel frame fitment...

Will you be making your own cylinders?

Will you be making a conversion kit (just cases w/ counterbalncer), or are the Honda O.E. internals not compatible?

If not O.E. internals, how strong is the crankshaft? what is the power ceiling? can it handle a bunch of boost?

...about $4600 actually sounds very reasonable, but at this point, this engine is nothing more then vaporware. I won't hold my breath (or put a deposit down), but I will certainly be watching.

Yes, an interesting 'sell'.

Give us your money, but don't ask any questions about what you are buying from us.

I've the money just sitting there to buy the E Start from them, yet I can't get them to show better pictures of carb adjustment clearance, or how far the starter hangs out in the breeze. For what looks like the want of better clocking of various components, the starter is positioned awkwardly. Better pictures might at least convince a few wary prospective buyers that it is a reasonable positioning effort. Posting the mounting instructions and full details of Exactly what you get for your money would help, to.

Panthera's products look beautifully engineered and made, and reasonably priced, but they should be a bit more forthcoming with info.

As for the TRX 450 moniker, I guess it's a tie in to Hondas 250 2stroke Quad of the 80s, that had a counter balancer. Even the early eighties air cooled 250 2t Honda trike had a counter balancer, as did the water cooled 250 2t trike. I think Suzuki's 500 Quadzilla was counter balanced? I'm sure I've seen companies that made near 500cc kits for the Honda 250R Quad, though I'm unsure if they used std cases, or had new cases.

One thing about a certain section of the ATV crowd, they sure as hell are ready to spend megabucks on their rides. And, a bit of their stuff, has benefitted 2 wheelers - the various Banshee based engines have made for some very, Very trick 400cc/ over 500cc Road Bike specials.
