I would think he could as long as it is a RM250, 450 class only.

If they were on a shoe string budget, I could see that being a last ditch effort, but we've heard many racers, owners and former racers mention that the 2 stroke is less efficient than a 4 stroke at the level these guys ride at.

It would be a great way to gain new fans, but a 450 would be better for results.

Smart Top.....Mike Alessi is an advertisement goldmine already. He doesn't need a two stoke just a little factory support. Unfortunately, those connections are disconnected.

Have to keep the illusion going, that you need the latest and greatest to be competitive.
Would be kind of funny to run a bike which is on the list, but make it look like a 15 year old model. I guess that would be kind of like jabbing your thumb in the eye of the manufacturers. Smile

No, I don't think that he could win on it. But, if he wants to draw attention to his team and sponsors, I don't see a better way.
I also don't think that he would get smoked by everyone, and ride around in last place.
I personally think that it would be really cool to see how one of the really fast dudes would do on one. I don't think anyone has given it an honest try for many years.
Robbie Marshall rode a KTM 2t for Two Stroke Motocross at a few of the nationals in 2013. That's the last time anybody competed on a two stroke that I'm aware of. I think he may have even finished inside the top twenty at Unadilla.

All I know is IT9 couldnt beat RC on his practice bike Suzuki 2 stroke with a full factory Honda 4 stroke a few years back on the practice track.

I also know James Stewart gave RCs 4 stroke fits with his Kawi 2 stroke, and never did much better against RC with a 4 stroke.........and James was at a huge disadvantage with RC on a big 4 stroke.

Too bad James cant race for no points on a 2 stroke, because I'd pay 4 times to watch him on a full factory 2 stroke again.
I dont give a shit what place he got. That show would be worth it.
