Could he win races in the 450 sx class right off the bat?? I believe he could and I'm really hoping he does some east coast races on the big bike. This kid is the real fecking deal yo.

This upcoming season maybe. After another year in the 250 class, yes. He will be a title contender in every class he enters. Unless he makes too many enemies like Barcia.

I to hope he races some of those opposite coasts big bike races. I even believe the kid is losing some of his attitude, which is why he doesn't have as many fans IMHO.

I thought he might go to MXDN and have bad races and then embarrass us with his mouth and attitude but he did just the opposite. He gave credit to the Euro's and even developed a Bromance (as I seen someone else here call it) with Febrve. He is starting to figure out the non-racing part of being a star. I know he is only 19'ish so some of the mouth is expected.

The kid is fast, no doubt. But he doesn't have what it takes to beat Dungey, Roczen or Tomac at this stage. Maybe in a year or two.

He would certainly be right up there in the 450 class and he is getting 450 experience early on so that has to help.

Pretty sure he is doing the East Coast for the 250 SX this year and I doubt they let him run any west coast on a 450 but you never know.

East coast really? No way. Would of thought that he would want to defend his west coast title to be honest. Having said that, I don't think it's a bad thing to have experience on both coasts before moving up.

I believe he said it would be cool to defend the title but he prefers having the chance to see all the track before moving up

Webb has been good on the 450 but I'm still waiting to see a bit more. He's one of the best 250 supercross riders I've ever seen, and if he can bring that to the 450 in one more year, he will be a force to reckon with.

He told a site in an interview (I forget which one) that the plan is to race East instead of defending his West title.

Matthes said on commentary at Bercy that it looks like he'll be riding the West again this year due to injuries in the team.

I just wonder if there isn't some temptation to move up now, he's certainly impressed every time he's got on that 450

RC always said he regretted not spending an extra year in 125 SX and that was after a perfect season. Give him another year to smoke guys in 250SX and then move up.

You're probably right. I remember RC crashed repeatedly when he first got on a 250, it's probably better to err on the side of caution with that one. Still though, with how the USGP, MXdN, Sugo and these couple SX races have gone, there must be some temptation there

It will be interesting to see how he goes in 2017 and what brand he will be on, it isn't a forgone conclusion that he will still be on Yamaha

Surely, Gibbs has a blank check waiting on that boy.
If he doesn't...somebody else does.

I'm personally a lot more impressed with the kid's 450 performances recently than I ever thought I would be. Ive criticized him for his cocky attitude before, but running with Febvre outdoors, and going head to head with Weston Peick at Lille shows he can put his results where his mouth is. I don't know if he'd run a consistent top-5 now with the current crop of 450 guys...but I see 2016 as the year for him to put it all together, and he'll be ready for the 450 in 2017.

You're witnessing the second coming of Bradshaw. Embrace it now, or you'll be relegated to strictly reminiscing about it down the road.

I hope Fox picks the guy up when he gets his own gear deal and does some "Beast" stuff.

Edit: Mine was a stupid, unnecessary comment.

Another manufacturer has a cheque for him....

Yup. Kid's on rails and he's only had what, 8 motos on a 450? Future of the 450's for sure.

It's a shame he got hurt at Vegas/Hangtown. Would have been awesome to see if he would have been able to clinch the national title.
