7/23/2012 5:45 PM

Looks like he got his boot caught in the footpeg too. Looked painful.

7/23/2012 5:45 PM

Goes to show how quick those guys are moving, everything looks fairly mellow until they hit the ground, then it puts shit in perspective!

7/23/2012 5:50 PM

it honestly looks like hit never hit the ground during the flip

7/23/2012 5:57 PM

The Honda that came down right before him hit the same bump but didn't tuck the front wheel.

On youtube click the share button under the video, when it opens the id box click the embed box and copy and paste the code and you'll be good.

That could have been soooo much worse! Glad he is going to be ok. I did the same thing on memorial day , 3rd gear pinned on my 450.....cart wheeled about 80' with the bike. Tried to tuck and roll to my left side.....but I don't bounce like these younger guys......I felt like a bag a sticks.

Are you 100% sure thats Thompson? He isn't wearing the black rockstar helmet, and those look like Rock River graphics. It looks like Joey Peters or someone.

7/23/2012 7:11 PM

Looks like the bike kept him from slamming into the ground.

Yea it did, lucky for him because he would have hit his head pretty hard there.

7/24/2012 4:15 AM

Damn that was a hard crash. I hope the kid is OK. He has been doing pretty good to running around the top 20.

Hes fine. Took a footpeg to the back, and was pretty banged up. Raced the 2nd moto. He said what most amazed him was the crowd cheering for him when he got up. Still are great fans out there!
Wow. Lucky thats all that happened.

7/24/2012 5:44 AM

Wow! That was duuuuuuuuuurty!

Cheers,

Crush

7/24/2012 9:34 AM

mx is hard enough...why make it harder riding an unstable scooter?

Bobby...unlike many my son LIKES his Yamahas. Especially the 450. Everyone crashes. The problem is theres only 2 or 3 Yamahas in every class, so that makes their crashes more noticable. Make sense?
He also doesnt BLAME his mistakes on other things. He said this crash was his fault.

7/24/2012 7:37 PM

Was it his bike foot peg or the guy passing him? I never saw when his could have hit him in the back.
